Well ok, maybe there are some raven fans and KKK members that dont like Tomlin. I stand corrected.

Tomlin extended, Ha!! He would have been canned and his entire staff after losing to Tebow in Denver!! Sorry guys, that was a MAJOR embarrassment on national TV!! You can frag me all you want; but that loss was unacceptable!!

I won't frag you but personally I have always one to put more onus on the players rather than coaching staff for in game blunders. I'm sure they were coached many times NOT to bite of fakes and give up long passes for TD's, they didn't perform or execute. This isn't trying to defend anyone because Tomlin isn't perfect but I have always tended to subscribe to the sentiment "Players Play and Coaches Coach" when screw ups happen on the field. You're right it was a huge embarrassment, one of the biggest in my lifetime. And completely unacceptable I agree. I don't think it would have solved anything or erased the memory by sacking the entire coaching staff as a knee jerk reaction though. Especially when they weren't too far removed from winning a Superbowl.

The Steelers aren't the Raiders, Clowns, and half the other teams in the league that blow things up over bad losses. Thankfully.

I try to make it a policy not to comment on this sort of thing, but I'll just say that I'm not surprised that he didn't stay long. Some men you just can't reach...

I honestly felt bad commenting on your comment but it was just so outrageous I couldn't believe it. I think your policy is good really.

    Don`t care... Won`t miss him;):applaud:...

Anyhowwwww... Pretty happy they gave Tomlin another 2 years!

He has his faults, but he is still fairly young, and new to coaching...

I see him as "coach in development"... same as a coach would apply to a player...

    I see room for improvement...

    I see strengths...

    I see weaknesses...

Overall, I think he`s done well, and deserves to keep "leading" this team at the moment!

Not sure who I would think is better right now, as long as you play within the rules...

C`mon Tomlin... Just get the details, like Challenges, and clock management, and where the sidelines are,
    And you`ll be fine!!!

I agree that this is a promising team, and I think he can lead them to Lombardi #7!!!

He's in the process of building a damn good team, offense is already one of the best and defense will be along shortly. He absolutely deserved an extension.

I'm not a huge Tomlin supporter and have bashed him at times but I am predicting a SB win during his extension. There is just to much talent starting to gel on offense and they are really putting things together nicely. This is of coarse if they stay relatively healthy. Defense will be much improved with Ike and Troy retiring. Loved them both along with Lebeau but those changes were beyond necessary.

I actually like Tomlin even though he is middle of the pack as a coach. You can tell he gives his all by how rundown he looks at season's end. He also deserves credit for focusing on a dynamic offense as a defensive minded coach. The front 7 could be one of the best in the league next year which should help the secondary.

This is how I feel also but I just have to say, "what the hell was he thinking?". I bet he calls in bomb threats to the local police just to see if they are awake!
