How slow of a news day have we been having? So slow that I saw this in the news feed on Glen's Bells appeal thread.

    http://www.foxsports.com/nfl/story/...ith-diet-after-tomlin-s-weight-request-072015

By struggling they mean that Williams was asked after OTA's to slim down to lighter than he was as a rookie and he did so with out fussing or whining about it and is now below the target weight Coach Tomlin asked him to hit. The only struggling he had with it and which they are creating a story about is that he has a sweet tooth and monitoring that has been a struggle so that he doesn't over indulge. That was all there was to the story he is fighting cravings for sweets.

How bad to we need camp to start:lolol: Two days and counting, then we can get this thing going.

That's silly. You're right, the headline makes you think he is overweight and not doing what Tomlin asked him to do. I'm guessing it was intentionally misleading to get more clicks.

Click-bait or not, I would bet if this was Jarvis Jones, not Williams, some people would be all over this as an example of why he's a bust etc.

Not so far, but I can't count Jarvis out completely just yet, simply because he hasn't been healthy enough to show much at this point. When it comes to draft picks I have always gone by the end of year 3 before I consider the "B" word. This will be a huge year for Jarvis to prove if he can do it or not. It's going to be very interesting to watch.

After his first two years, Cam Heyward could have been viewed as a bust too and was by some fans. Not so much any more.

This article is missing a rumor from an unnamed former teammate. That would have gotten this piece shared like crazy.

Which would be Dick LeBeau's fault. I have no shame.

really? after years of casey leaving carnage in his wake of krispy kreme trucks. casey has probably started a foundation called share a doughnut with a friend. i'd rather see foster told to lose a few lbs.. i knew there would be trouble when butler took over. what a shame when an aspiring young nose tackle can't have a dozen or so smear faces before practice. oh the humanity.:smiley1::cool:

Everyone always made a Big Deal about Casey Hampton not being able to finish the conditioning run test to start camp. In my opinion if Casey Hampton has to make a hundred yard run to tackle somebody we are in big trouble. He just needed to be quick for 10-20 yards, not a 100.

green fonts need to be added, but if he only played one play a series that may be true, but it's 25 yards to get to the huddle.:smiley1::cool:

Yes but for most times those guys walk or jog on or off the field.

Williams is hungry, he wants it! Some football and a milkshake, he wants them both...

If we had a nose tackle that was anywhere near as good as Casey he could eat all the smear faces and crispy creams he wanted to.

that was the jist of my response. i was kidding in the fact casey got huge and could still play. of course casey was far better when he was thinner than he ended up, but that's just semantics.
