Hello all.. So I'm hoping my fellow Steelers fans can help me with this. I had a rare, "43 Flyin Hawaiian" Polamalu license plate stolen right off of my car while I was at work on Friday in Tucson, AZ. I didn't know it was rare until now because I've searched for a plate just like it for days and there doesn't seem to be any in circulation. The thing is, it's not just a novelty plate...it has deep sentimental value for me and I'd give just about anything to have it back or to find one just like it. I'm Hawaiian...my nickname is "Flyin Hawaiian" and my Mother gave me that plate before she passed away 9 years ago. I've been in tears for 4 days as I've pretty much resigned myself to the fact that I'll never see it again. So please...look at my avatar and let me know if you know where I can get another plate like the one that was cruelly stolen from me while I was working hard to feed my family. I appreciate you...thanks and God bless.

    Welcome to the board, Mahea'lani.

That really sucks. It seems like a hard item to replace, too. I would keep an eye on your local Craigslist and Ebay. Maybe the thief will try to sell it. Good luck.

99.9% sure it was Bruce Arians! He takes anything Steelers, out in the desert.

Joking aside, sorry for your plate. I'll keep my eye out for ya!

Hi there! Thank you for the welcome and for the support..I appreciate it. I've posted an ad on Craigslist "Wanted By Owner Stolen Steelers Novelty Plate"...I know it's a longshot, but I'm desperate. I scour Craigslist and Ebay and Amazon every day just hoping and praying I see it. I'm just sick about it. But thanks for your help : )

There is a store in Pittsburgh called Albert's Gifts (412-325-8457) that sells that kind of stuff. Also, a gift shop in Breezewood,PA sells similar items (814-735-4366).

What you have (had -- sorry) is an item produced by a company that specializes in sports-related products that walk a thin legal line in the trademark waters. It is an obvious reference to Polamalu without using a Steelers logo, Troy's name, or anything else that would cause it to be illegal. You won't find that license plate in any store that sells NFL merchandise so, trying to navigate those waters would be an exercise in futility. You need to find a store similar to the ones I mentioned above that sell this type of stuff. Those two stores are easily your best bet (after eBay).

This is as close as I can get you to what you're looking for: http://www.albertsgifts.com/steeler...rchandise/steelers-license-plates-frames?pn=3

Doesn't look like they have that in stock in their online store, but these stores are going to easily be your best bet. They might be worth the phone call.

I have a couple of names you need to check as they are living in arizona currently. I can google their address if you need and the plate may be on one of their cars. No joke.

If said gift shop is in the Gateway restaurant you may want to say that. Also if Flyn is in AZ it may be tough to get to Breezewood
