Why does Ben always get fat and bloated in the off season

    Need a bigger helmet for Ben this season, he's tipping the scales at about 255, training camp should sweat about 10 pounds off his rotund head, mid section and rear, nothing to worry about though...........

    Thanks for the list. I do most of them, but even exercising as much as I do, I still can't eat like I did when I was younger. I need to add cardio though, I strictly do lifting but a boxing gym just opened up the road from me so may look into that since regular cardio bores the crap out of me.

    I agree that plain ole cardio is a bore. Research HIIT training. Read about it, learn it, embrace it. You'll be better off from it.

    I don`t mean "playin", as in playing a sport, everyone gets too old to do that, even Troy...

    But, "Playin", as in having fun with your life... You`re only as old as you feel/act...

    I need to remember to practice what I preach, and get up off my lazy old ass, and enjoy my life!!!

    I workout while watching the Steelers. Thats when I do my cardio.. Because I am wound up so much on Sunday I figure why not watch and burn off energy at the same time lol

    Then after I get really tired I sit and drink a few beers lol... Hydrate myself.. You know lol

    When you age there is body changes and your metabolic rate does in fact change.. It slows a bit as we do. You could take the amount of calories per day and apply the same excercise at 30 as you would at 50 and you would see less fat burned.. Hormones and chemical changes in the body have that affect.

    Right? Its WHY I run so I CAN eat...

    Going back to the original topic though...Ben is just a big guy. He will be fine when the season starts.
