Ok most of you reading this will probably laugh or shake their heads but these are my bold statements.

    1. Our offense will be #1 in yards.
    2. Our offense will be top 5 in points.
We were #2, #7 respectively so this isn't a longshot.

    3. We will have a top 5 rush defense
    4. We will be top 10 in take aways
    5. Jarvis Jones will have a good season
    6. Our pass rush will be decent
    7. BOLDEST STATEMENT. We will win our 7th this year.

Laugh all you want. Our offense is ridiculously scary, and it just got a whole lot better.

    -peace

How so? Did the lift Bell's suspension or lower it? Did we sign someone and I haven't read about it yet? Please elaborate.

I believe all except 3 and 4. We will win the superbowl but we will in no way be top five rushing D and top ten in takeaways. Not with rookies and struggling injury prone youngsters.

There is NO gameplay to show these things are even potentially possible this year. Theres no tape, no trend, no hope for those two things. Ill take middle of the pack in both and a superbowl win this year.

If the stars are all aligned, perhaps 2 of your 7 predictions come to fruition. The only sure bet is that Caitlyn Jenner will win 5 gold medals for Women's track and field at the next summer Olympics in Brazil.

Points 1-4 are not really all that 'Bold', they have to go from #2 in yds to #1, and from #7 in pts to #5, they were #6 last yr in rush D, so going to #5, isn't asking for the moon. But if teams can pass at will on them, a top 5 rush D is a real possibility. They were #23 in takeaways, they need to go from 21 last yr to 27 to get to the top 10. This is doable, but requires improvement against a tougher schedule. I don't think all of these are likely, but they're possible. If Ben doesn't get hurt or Bell or Heyword, these can happen.

Points 5-6 are anything but bold. JJ has a good season? If he starts 16 games is that a good season? The pass rush will be decent? You mean get 35 sacks?

As to point 7, this team could win the division, but they will br lucky to have a top 10 D, and they will have to win #7 in a very Un-Steeler way. Have an O that scored tons of points and out does the opposition. This historically is a championship combination.

I think Coates will burst onto the scene much the same way Bryant did last year. Heading into the second half of the season, it will be nearly impossible to deal with AB, Bryant and Coates. Add Bell coming out of the backfield *shudder*.

I have the defense improving from 18th to 12th this season. They are still growing, baby steps. But, 12th is good enough to win it all

Like I said these are just statements, predictions. I have a good feeling we will win it all. Screw jinxes, Ben is hungry. No pun intended

    WE WILL UNLEASH HELL!!!!:butcher:

I hope... How`s that for "bold"?

I seriously think we have a chance to compete for the Lombardi, like we do, every
    year that we have Ben...

After that, it`s gonna get a lot more difficult.

    LET`S DO IT STEELERS!!!:herewego!::steelflag::herewego::yeehaw:

it all depends on injuries. ours and theirs. tough schedules can change in a moment. if brady is out 4 games, their easiest schedule just got harder. i predict we get better as the season goes, but we need to win early and it doesn't have to be pretty.

I think we still are a corner back and a safety from being a super bowl caliber team.

I don't think so. No D Big O rarely [if ever] wins it. Fortunately, the Steelers are not buying that at all. They are working hard at building another top D.

If anyone wants to use the recent NE win as an example of a suspect D with a strong O winning it all, try watching the games again. You might notice the NE Defense nearly completely shut down both the Ravens and the Seahawks O for a good part of the 3rdQ and most of the 4thQ. The NE D gave their O numerous chances to overcome those 14 pt deficits in both games. They probably did not even need a Brady to do this. Heck, with that many chances, maybe a Tarvaris Jackson or a Landry Jones could even get it done.:smiley1:

I believe all points except for 5.. Jarvis will have a great season. Our offense is better but with Bell in and not out. We will be good enough to win 2 of the first 3 games. Our offense is not the issue that keeps us from winning those games we should. Its our suspect defense. I still think we have a couple more years before we have a good to great secondary.

    Time will tell

I'm drinkin the same kool aid! I'll agree with ya. Especially winning number 7! I cant wait for the season to start so we can find out what we really have, instead of what the paper tells us we have. I think we'll be in pretty good shape though!

Yikes, meant to say "this historically is NOT a championship combination" Don't disagree that the Steelers are working to build a top D, but I don't think we'll see it in 2015.

They will (or should be) better on both sides of the ball. I think the D will be pretty decent in the second half of the season. But all bets are off if the injury bug hits this team.
