Heath is aging you say after 10 years, how about this guy aging after playing TE for 17 years:

Tony Gonzalez hasn't been retired for six months yet, so it's really no surprise that some NFL teams have tried to lure him back to the field.
But the 14-time Pro Bowl tight end, who's now employed by CBS as an NFL studio analyst, has no plans to add to his 1,325 career receptions, the second-most in league history.
"There is probably no chance (of a comeback)," Gonzalez said on a conference call Thursday when specifically asked if the New England Patriots were among his potential suitors.
"I don't even want to play anymore to tell you the truth. I've had my fill. But I've been contacted by some teams — I'm not going to name those teams — but there have been some teams that have called me a couple of times."

I don't think he is a "playmaker" so to speak, but he can succeed as a threat if put into the right situations. That does NOT mean you run him up the gut 10 times a game, but getting him out in space where his athleticism can be used to exploit a potential mismatch is something we could use more.
