Golson and Coates Mini Camp Report

Pretty sure Tomlin is going to micro manage Butler for a bit.. It's one thing to be an assistant coach and then a coach. Joey Porter even said it during an interview recently that there is alot of responsibility and more on the line when your coaching verses assisting.

 

My take is that maybe they are going to use more of a hybrid D. Tomlin is sharing his ideas of his Tampa 2 approach. Anyway I don't see the harm and actually I think it's wise and appropriate.

 

How is that malarkey? Tomlin said it. It was a dumb thing to say but the gist of what he was saying was that DL is above approach and shouldn't be criticized. He may have had more input into the defense than it appeared but the perception was that he was very hands off where LeBeau was concerned.

 

Trust me I am real excited about the possibility of this season for the Steelers. Especially with the talent we just drafted!
