people here talk about how Casey Hampton was the greatest NT, but as I recall, we used to have a Joel Steed as our NT during the 1990's. I thought that front 3 of Steed, Nolan Harrison, and Orpheus Roye/Keven Henry were just as good as the Hampton/Smith/Kiesel. I think Steed was one of the most underrated lineman we had.

Yeah I really liked Steed, but his legacy is probably a bit tainted from his use of Steroids.

I completely disagree. Steed was great, and I said he was underrated at the time...

...But Casey was better, and for longer, too. And none of those DEs from the 90s can compete with Aaron Smith. Smith-Hampton-KVO/Keisel is the best DL we've had since I've been alive.

Your 100 percent right. While a rooted hard for those guys, they really don't compare to Hampton/Smith/Keisel/KVO

Brentson Buckner wasn't half bad either.

I agree about Casey. I feel like the nose dive of our d started when we lost that big dominant guy clogging things up in the middle. Pun intended btw. LOL. I just really miss Casey. I feel like the fact that we've given up a lot more rushing yards since he left speaks volumes for how good of a player he really was. I'm rooting for McLendon and McCullers but they definitely have some huge shoes to fill.

Seals --- Steed --- Buckner I believe that was the blitzburgh lineup?

Definitely one of the top 3-4 d-lines we had.

Aaron Smith was the most over-rated - BY A MILE - steeler of all time.
