Sad day, but the right decision. Love this guy for what he meant to the Steelers on and off the field.

    Agree with all...
It`s the right time to do it, and last year proved that...
But, DAMN, it still makes me sad, to see one of the best we`ve ever had, have to hang up his cleats.:bye:
C-Ya, Troy. Thanks for the memories, and the Game Changers!!!:applaud::cool::thumbs_up::drinks::herewego::herewego!:

While its was about that time for him...could he have gone another year? Maybe. Who knows. Wish he could play forever, haha. But the time comes for everyone. Thanks for everything Troy!

Well done Troy. All I can think about is when 43 took us to SB43 with the pick 6 win over the Ravens. You will be missed. :towel::steelflag::buzz:

Doesn't seem like 12 years. I can still remember watching that trade up to get him. Wasn't Randel El in that same class? Gotta look that up.

The end of an amazing era. It's always sad seeing our heroes fade or go away. Definitely an all-time great.

I'm still trying to work out going to see Bettis enshrined. If I pull that one off, Troy will be trip #2. If not, he'll be #1. I will not miss that.

    Thanks for the memories, Troy.

End of an era. Watching the games on TV, I always scoped out where Troy was, hoping to see the beginnings of a spectacular play, hair flowing behind him. Once in an age. Now I won't know where to focus when the Steelers D is on the field. Time for the next stud to emerge.

    Go in peace.
