I'm fine with the results of the offseason. KC and MT did a nice job imo. They got Moats and JH who will help with the OLB depth and starter positions. DeAngelo to back up Bell. Extended Ben. The only ding is at the CB position. But that has a big question mark with Cortez. We still have Gay and Blake, Webb and probably two from the draft.

Financially it was positive all around. Didn't overspend and gained some ground on the cap.

Yeah, I think it's about what we didn't do, not what we did. I think that this will turn out as the worst free agent splurge league wide ever. So many marginal and/or completely unproven players made big bucks. It was silly to watch.

i can't wait to see the dead money that some of these teams eat 2 years from now when their prized free agents don't pan out.

I think were good... okay even. I hope there is a good resolve with troy. I don't mind keeping him in a mentor/reduced role to get him through 1 of the last 2 years he's owed. But he needs to take a lot less and acknowledge as much.

I would have preferred to see a CB pick up - but the amount that Robinson et al. were asking for, I'm not shedding tears that we didn't get them. Would have liked to have got Skrine, but there you go. We'll add some more during camp and see what we've got.

I wouldn't say the FA period has been a massive success... probably just below even.

Signing Ben was huge. Some may argue it was not a FA signing, but it kept it from becoming one. So we would be argueing symantics. I am glad we got a backup running back, that was important and I did not want to waste a draft pick on a backup, we need those for defensive starters. The rest doesn't do much for me one way or the other.

i'm not going to call us winners yet. we didn't do much but bring some of what we had last year back. which is a good thing. the trouble is what we lost.

    keisel
    troy
    allen
    mccain
    moore
    worilds
    palmer
    ike
    then some unknowns:
cortez we don't know if we lost this kid or not.
    cam thomas is still here.
golden hasn't signed his tender yet
i'm not sure if blake has
i'm not sure if willJ has.
mitchells groin and him leading the backend of the defense.
can thomas stay on the field
    will webb help us
whos our 1 or 2 corner
whos our FS if MT moves mitchell like he's talked about.
who's going to backup beachum at LT
    can JJ stay healty
    can shazier stay healthy
    can JH start all year
    whos backing up our DE's
    can moats start

lots of questions going into the draft and the season, which most contenders don't have. so did we have a winning off season? :hmmm::cool:

I certainly can't call them free agency winners, but I can't label them losers either, since the new league year only started a few weeks ago...
