Per his agent, is very interested in signing with the Titans to play for Lebeau. He said with Worilds retiring that Tennesse's interest in deebo is picking up. He also said that the steelers are still in the mix for James decision.

Hope he stays here but LeBeau might sway him.

When it was rumored that Lebeau was going to Arizona, I made a thread that Harrison wasn't far behind. When he landed the Titans gig I changed the zip code but not the presumption. These guys are really joined at the hip.

Eh, I want James back, but I'm sure that's just a ploy, thinking the Steelers are a wounded animal with Worilds now gone and his services are needed even more.

I thought James wanted to stay in Pittsburgh and not uproot his family? The connection with Lebeau makes sense, but....

The guy proved last year that he can still contribute at a solid level. He's not circa 2008 James Harrison, but he's still a better edge rusher off the right side and run defender than any OLB on our roster. If he can be had on a relatively inexpensive 1 year deal, bring him back.

Absolutely bring him back on a one year deal. Put Jarvis at LOLB, and have James and Moats rotate at ROLB.

    Agreed...

I would like to have him back for another year...

Unfortunately, I highly doubt it`s going to happen.

I think what he has said about his respect/love for Dick LeBeau, is genuine, and he will follow him to Tenn...

    Not, a "marketing ploy"..

Shame for us, but we will get by without him.

If he decides to come back, AWESOME...

Just really doubt it. Hope he has success, whenever he`s not playing us!:yeehaw:...

C-Ya James, thanx for kicking ass, as a Steeler!!!

Tennessee just signed Brian Orakpo. I don't neccesarily think that will keep them from signing Harrison, but it makes it less likely.

Time to go to Vegas and put odds on when Orakpo gets injured. I'll say game 3.

James would be a welcome addition after the draft and all the smoke clears. If there is still a need, sign him. I agree if brought in that he will be a situational player. He might not want to wait and grab a bit of dough from Tennessee. I believe he won't sign for the vet minimum.

I would love to sign him to a 1-2yrs deal but not for a lot of money. I would've signed him right after he made up his mind to keep playing...When there was no interest in him.

I wouldn't worry about it. He's not in demand above the vet minimum, and demand is likely near zero even at the minimum. For all the happy talk, he really didn't play that well last season and got hurt. He's 37 this season and shell of a shell of his former self. He had his moments, but he got worked over too.

I really think because he went into retirement mode and when he was called. ..He was not in playing mindset or football playing shape. With his off season workout...and being in camp would really show that he can still compete at a high level

I have heard he has a real good relationship with butler as well. maybe that would help.

That and I'm sure uprooting, even for 6 months, is not a real attractive option for him at this point.

Hope he comes back, he clearly helped this team and showed he has something left in the tank. Guys a freak, not your typical 37 year old.

Don't the Titans play a 4/3 defense? Why would Harrison want to play there? In Cincinnati 4/3 he wasn't effective, the Steelers will be alright either way after re-signing Moats and they will draft a OLB.

I believe they played a 3-4 last year as well with DL's disciple Ray Horton. Plus it was D Morgan's first year as a 3-4 OLB I think. I may be wrong on that.
