Cary Williams

I heard the Steelers are interested in CB Cary Willams (formerly Eagles and Ravens). I think anybody will be an improvement. I liked him when he was with Ravens and would like him to be one of our started CB next season. If we sign him, we might not need a rookie CB to step right in.

I say no to Williams. He's not a very "smart" player IMHO. And, he probably isn't the best guy in the locker room from what I remember.

Resign Brice McCain

 

I may be in the small minority here, but I think the depth of our CBs is not our issue. If we resign McCain, resign Blake, Allen finds his game, and Gay continues his solid play, that is a really good group of 2-5. Throw in Webb and it may be 2-6. The largest issue with our CBs IMO is we have no #1 any more. When you couple that with the inability to get to the QB, you are bound to struggle. If Allen is the #2, and Gay is the #3, I am okay with it, but if they both start....it won't be good.

So the question about Williams comes down to this....is he any better than what we have already? If not....move on.

Yes, this. We already know he's capable of starting in our system.

 

This is how I feel. No he is not any better.

We need a better pass rush and I think we need another safety. Every thing we have seen so far tells us Shamarko will just get hurt again.

 

I read were he was expected to sign with Sea.

 

Did you watch that playoff game against the Ravens? They all stunk, a upgrade in talent is needed.
