Jerome Bettis Elected To The Pro Football Hall Of Fame!

Or, some day soon, Bettis can say he ran a HOFer over.

 

The Steelers wing in Canton gets another legend. What a treat to watch him always fall forward for 2-3 more yards.

 

I'm going to Canton for his induction. How do I get tickets for the ceremony? Are the steelers playing in the HOF game? If so I'd like to go to that to. Never been to the hall of fame before, but no better time than August 8th!

just purchased two preferred field seats for 75 bucks each

I clapped out loud when I heard this morning. Awesome News! Congrats Bus! This is well-deserved.

 

Read a story listing his place on dozens of varied rushing stat lists and I was amazed how many he is in the top 5. One very impressive one is he is the all time NFL third lowest % of fumbles per carry behind Larry Czonka and Curtis Martin. Of course all I could think about was the late fumble in the 2005 playoff game vs Indy where "The Immaculate Tackle" was conceived - that play right there may have been the defining point in the Bus's getting into Canton - no tackle by BB - perhaps no win that day and no SB for the Bus and very likely no HOF).

 

Definitely one of my favorite players!! Congrats to the Bus! I lived in Canton for four years, Hall of Fame time was always a week long party. Gonna miss that place this year!!
