    Lake failed getting his number one project Cortez to be the #1 CB for the team, and McCain and Blake they might not be back and aren't long term answers at the position. Both safety spots their play was terrible the whole season, never in position to help the CBs.

    Cortez is still here so that book isn't finished yet, he also had a bad knee which was just scoped a couple weeks ago.

    I don't know what McCain and Blakes status with the team has to do with the excellent job that Lake did with them, it's pretty irrelevant to the topic at hand.

    Gay also did very well.

    Lake isn't remotely in danger of being replaced unless he chooses to leave.
