If true, it's good to see that kind of outspoken leadership from Pouncey.

It's not. But I'm not required to answer questions. Especially questions designed to divert the conversation from the Tomlin/Colbert screw up to my GMing acumen. It doesn't matter who I think could have done the job. It matters that Tomlin/Colbert chose to lean on Harris/Archer ... who they obviously had no faith in.

Or to merely point out that the charge is baseless and a resolution unattainable given that the 100's of qualified RB's were the figment of GM quarterbacking imaginations.

We didn't need 100s of qualified RBs, just 1.

And if you actually believe that RBs are that scarce a commodity ... then cutting Blount would be coaching malpractice.

I can say the same about ignoring a powder keg sitting in the middle of the room.

And RB's aren't a scarce commodity but ones that can do what Bell can is, which is why having Blount play against the Ravens would have made little to no difference in the end result.

I think Bell could have done some damage but it's what he would have added to other areas (i.e blocking, receiving) that doomed us.

Back to topic, releasing a solid back back into the folds of the NFL is a bad decision. It goes against a basic tenet of mine:

"Do nothing to hurt your team, more important do nothing that helps anyone else!"

Keeping Blount would have endangered our game plan inside the 20,3incomplete passes and a field goal. Gotta keep Ben happy.

What's more odd is that last season Tomlin was saying he was one of the most important guys on the offense, absolute unsung hero etc.

I expected to see more of him throughout the season, not just in the play-offs.

I agree with all on this guy , he seems to play well whenever he gets a chance somehow he got lost in the shuffle. My guess would be trying to work in Wheaton and Bryant so much in so many ways took some focus off of other potential weapons.

Maybe next year will be different in that regards hopefully Wheaton and Bryant are ready and we can work in other guys.
