Anyone have any thoughts on Mariotta? I came away very underwhelmed by his performance (of course that one early WR drop killed them, in hindsight)

whoo hoo! SEC my azz. I got so sick of hearing about how good they were. pac 12, nothing for the bucks tonight either. LOL I think jones is much more Byron leftwich than big ben. I think he even looks like him somewhat. :dancing::smiley1::cool:

I had no dog in the hunt. But I'm glad it was Ohio state that won (and so convincingly).

Under the old system, they wouldn't have even been in the conversation for the National Championship. Hell, Oregon would also likely be on the outside looking in.

As an advocate for playoffs for over 2 decades, this just warms my heart. :) It should be at least an 8 team format, but this is a much better format than the old popularity contest at least.

I definitely agree. It made things more exciting this year, and not just because I'm an Ohio State fan.

Congrats to all the Buckeye fans. That was an impressive display. Scary thing is that was mostly sophomores and a backup QB, they could do it again next year.

I would say I am a Big 10 guy, so part of me was rooting for Ohio St, although I do terribly dislike them and Urban Mayer. ALthough I have tremendous respect for both. Too bad Ekpre-Olomu didn't get a chance to play. Mariota looked average in this game which is kind of what I expect of him in the NFL, barring a Chip Kelly reunion.

All I know is that Ohio St moneyline was paying +175. Very profitable :smiley1:
