I haven't seen much about it on the internet, but it was mentioned in the Post Gazette that he's signed through 2016. Now if we could just get a good DC :lolol:, then the Steelers would be set.

Remember when everybody wanted him fired after the 1st 5 games on the year.

I'm all for the signing too. The offense did well this year, why quit a good thing.

I expect some shakes up to be coming before next week, saw a story on NFL mobile about DL and it was hinting at something happening behind the scenes. Tomlin was asked about Lebeau returning and was agitated and insistent that he hadn't talked to him yet and would discuss his timetable. The article also hinted that the Front Office might retain DL but in an advisory position not as the defensive coordinator.

Edit: Personally I take it all with a grain of salt but we could be seeing some changes

Cool. Haley's a pretty good OC, and continuity is important. I wonder if he was extended during the season or recently.

Flash forward to 2016. Art Rooney II stands at the podium and announces: "Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the next head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers, TODD HALEY." ;)

Like the extension. Continuity is indeed a good thing and this offense needs it. We saw some pretty good O work this year. Now it just needs to get consistent... Put Foster on a diet, solve the #2 back spot, add another sturdy TE and were set. Defense needs the most attention top down.

I'm ok with this move,.. I think Tomlin is also signed thrue 2016. Hopefully , the Rooneys WILL NOT extend Tomlin this off season, like some here want.. I say let these coaches play out there contract, and if they dont get the job done letem leave together

    NEVER! :lolol:

Tomlin will sign a 20 year extension this off season and hand Lombardi #7 to Rooney at the podium next year ;)

    Followed by 19 more :yeehaw:

Seriously though, I haven't seen one mention of this news, think this might be a false report. .

    Congrats Todd!

Didn't really see eye to eye with you during HS days but can you float me a loan buddy?

It's worth a try but if nothing else can you at least start running the I formation for me with Johnson bustin the hole up for Bell, Tate or Archer.

    :hmmm:

    Well deserved!:applaud:

Dude, I don't hate Haley. He does some really stupid things from time to time. For example in several games this year we were running the ball well which sets up the play action. But, for some stupid reason instead of using play action to our advantage he goes empty set which just tips the hand. WTF? It makes zero sense. When we had Redman as our #1 he kept running him east-west. Redman isn't fast enough to get around the edge. He's not fooling anyone. For the love of god screen passes to heath miller aren't worth a hill of beans. We had one game this year where he didn't throw a pass past the line of scrimmage for the entire first half. Then it was time to try and play catch up in the second half. We have a couple of very good fast wide receivers, use them. For the love of god why is our no huddle offense so freaking slow? That dumbass team from eastern pa and the pats can continually get plays off in 15-20 seconds in their normal offense, but Haley's no huddle takes a full 45.

I thought he somewhat butchered this last game and was largely responsible for our loss, but I still agree with that. I'm glad.

2016? Doesn't seem like much of an extension, what'd they do add one year?

Baby Steps was a great book written by Dr. Leo Marvin which saved the life of Bob Wylie.
