Regardless of how it ended, you will go down as one of the greats. See you in Canton!

Now have some self-respect and retire. You're embarrassing yourself and hurting the team.

The whole group back there is just not good enough. We should thank the Rats for saving us from giving up 60 points next week. They are just good enough to be dangerous , they will look ok against average talent , but when they face a good QB with better than average WR'S there average skills get exposed.

    :this!:

Maybe he'd consider being a defensive coach - I'm sure guys could learn a ton from him.

Love you, Troy. Thanks for all of the amazing memories. If this is the end, it's sad seeing it end this way. But you have nothing left to prove.

Like poor tackling? His success was largely driven by his uncanny instincts and athleticism. Now that he's not athletic as he used to be his instincts are useless. He's one of my favorite players, but his time is gone and we need coaches who are going to teach fundamentals.

I really love this guy and his classiness both on the field and off. An all time favorite Steeler, but it is time.

Was at the AFCCG game in 08 when he delivered his pick 6. Greatest feeling in the world, until, of course, I witnessed Harrison's 100 yard rumble in the Super Bowl. Actually, the Troy experience was probably better as it was freaken cold out, but was in the Burgh and the celebration lasted so long (topped off by the huge hit by Clark on Magahee). Man, just typing this and realizing all the great memories we've had the past 10 years makes last night hurt a little less.

When he left the field yesterday, he stopped and took a long look back. I think that was his last glance at the field. I will bet my bottom dollar he retires. I will miss him greatly. We have no one else that has the ability he had. He was always exciting to watch.

I bring him back, in a reduced role, less roaming type. like it was said, he led the tackles.

How about bringing him back at a reduced weight instead? I can't believe that no one has the balls to tell Troy that he's overweight and he needs to get in shape. He looks as big as Sam Mills was.

It was LeBeau's decision to play him. Not a good decision. Troy will have a bust in Canton as he deserves. Watching him in his heyday running sideline to sideline, making the big sometimes game changing play was a thing of beauty. Those days are long gone. A true Steeler to the end, but a shell of what he was. As the immortal Coach said "Time to get on with your life's work"...

Would have been interesting to see the outcome with Will Allen @ safety instead of a slow overweight troy..

I watch Troy on every play. Or try to when I can see him. I don't feel he's playing bad or playing slow. Slower than the star studded Troy of 2005... 2006...2007...2008? Sure. That comes with some age, but some of you on here and many on Facebook and other social media got completely spoiled by Troy. He spent years lighting up offenses with OVER-THE-TOP extraordinary super-man style of play. He is hands down the greatest safety to play the game of football and he was ours. Now that he's playing a bit slower, and by that I mean he's playing at the same speed as some others, we are saying he's old? get off the field? cut him? wow.

In multiple games this year, I watched edge of field receivers with blown coverage catch a ball down an open sideline, just to be chased down by Troy who was mid-field and stopped. Was he in position to make some super human interception? No. But was he running down a fast receiver at an angle from behind? Yes. He's not too slow. He's just not the Safety God you all want him to be, and frankly, I don't see too many of those on any teams right now.

    CHILL.

Thank you for saying this. He's not the safety he once was and is probably looking at retirement soon since it's killing him more than anything. But for some to wish for him to be injured so he couldn't play??? smh... Show some respect for the greatest safety to ever play the game!
