We got out coached. Not stopping them on all the third and long was the difference. Flacco throws ducks to the ground when under pressure, the most we did was rush one or two extra up the middle on long down and distance. Geesh

I will remember the interception into triple coverage, the bomb to Brown that sailed out of bounds (into double coverage), the Suggs kneeterception. Our D has purous moments, but no real exceptional talent or stars. Our offense is potentially loaded, and they can't get 'er done.

The line was terrible. Bell's absence was a part of that because it allowed the Ravens to focus on pressuring Roethlisberger and treat run defense as secondary.

Collinsworth made a good point; Ben threw it away when he realized double coverage.
suggs interception was off Tate's hands. Bell catches that ball.
agree, no more superstars on defense.

Our inability to score in the redzone or just outside the redzone is still a problem.

The defense can't get off the field on 3rd and long.

Think you meant week 2, but get the point. Don't forget weeks 4,5,6, 10, 13...

IMO, these were # 1 and 2 on the list of things that needed solving during the offseason. And yet here we are talking about the same problems... again. Think it will get solved this time around?

I agree this is why Ben isn't elite. I mean elite QBs ALWAYS will their team to victory. Elite QBs ALWAYS play big in big games. Elite QBs ALWAYS win in big games. Elite QBs NEVER have (playoff) games like this.....

A thought Pgh wasn't aggressive enough. You don't have Bell, Balt won't respect the run anyway, go 5-wide, go hurry up. Make Balts beat up secondary stop you. They didn't do that. They played as if they thought: as long as we don't make any mistakes we'll be ok. Too much caution.

Certainly not enough hurry up, but that's been the case all year.

The 5 wide struggled because the o-line weren't even slowing down the Ravens pass rush. You'd need to have 2-3 yard routes for most of the receivers if Ben was going to have time to complete a pass.

Mind you, there were two plays where calling a TO rather than face the blitz that was showing would perhaps have made more sense.

These two things are at the top of my list and have been a lot this season (and previous ones). I just don't get the red zone issues- have we psyched ourselves out on it? As for the 3rd and longs, we really need to figure that out. People know it's a weakness and will continue to exploit it until we have an answer. Heck, we had a lot of times this season where other teams were going for it on 4th and long (and making it).
