Better record than both teams... although same as Indy, we beat them this year.

Trying to figure out why we have to play a day earlier than the 2 teams we beat out for the 3rd SEED...
AND BEAT ON THE FIELD !???

    anybody ? :hmmm:

    just curious ......

Because it's Ravens and Steelers, and they (NFL) wanted it in the PRIMETIME slot. There is no other reason.

    well
some people here would blame it on Mike Tomlin because we all know he is given the choice of when he wants to play and well his time management and play calling and most everything else he does is questioned, scrutinized and well you know blame Mike

They had Pitt slated for Saturday night regardless
    of a win or loss....

They showed the circumstances during the game...

It could have been Pitt at Indy Saturday at 8:30...

but it we win and Colts get Bengles Sunday !?!?

    screwed up scheduling !!

nice break for us .... Bell may need
    that extra day rest...

I believe it was so the Bengals wouldn't have two short weeks in a row.

Baltimore has the same schedule and they have to travel. We have nothing to complain about. Personally, I think a Saturday night game is great.

Cause a Saturday night game between the Bungles and Colts would draw about 500,000 viewers and a Saturday Night game between the Steelers and Ravens would draw about 15 million.

    Collingsworth mentioned that last night.

It also means that the Steelers will gain an extra day either next week or the AFC championship game :beg:.
Better to get that day before an away game, rather than use it up for the home game.

Were not losing much. It's nothing like a Thursday game.

I'm sure whatever the reason it has nothing to do with Goodell screwing the steelers. The steelers are one of the NFL's sweetheart franchises, always will be

There was that one time Tomlin deferred instead of taking the ball on the opening kickoff.. That's what lost us the game

I think, prior to the outcome of last night's game, the two "big games" this weekend will be the Steelers and Cowboys. They gave the Cowboys the late game on Sunday and the Steelers the late game on Saturday. They also gave the game people care the least about, the one with Carolina the early slot on Saturday. Sure, all of the games will be watched. But the two late games will have the bigger audiences.

If the Colts had the same draw as the Steelers, they wouldn't have announced the schedule before the game. Keep in mind, no one outside of 30 miles of Cincinnati roots for the Bengals. Either game with the Steelers will be watched more than either game with the Bengals. And so, the NFL didn't have to wait until after the game to know when the Steelers would play.
