If they sucked, and we still saw all of this nonsense, we'd still be griping about it. Very often, it doesn't seem like you're calling out BS. It seems more like you're being deliberately contrary just to position yourself as "above it all."

The fact is we have seen, on multiple occasions, bad calls just. like. this. (if not worse) against us. And nary a mention on any sports media. No calls for review. No asking for rule changes. Other teams have as well. And more than a few of those calls did affect the game. This one didn't and still they wail and gnash their teeth over it, and show it on repeat ad nauseum.

We've had a few different receivers and our QB hit illegally. BLATANTLY. Ever see those hits on NFL Network or ESPN with loud shouts of disapproval? Questions as to why they weren't flagged? No. We didn't.

If it walks and quacks like a duck...

And it's not just the Pats that get, shall we say, favorable coverage. But they've consistently been getting it for the longest.

Ryan Clark put his helmet and shoulders into a guy's midsection. Wasn't even close to his head or neck. Got flagged anyway.

No mention of it on any channel afterwards...

We had our QB punched in the face on a dead ball!!!!!!!!! It surely didn't turn into a federal case. Seymour got fined $25,000 and everyone moved on.

I remember. Sometimes the referees simply flag the violence of the impact.

It was a brutal hit no doubt but well within the rules.

The flags that get me the most upset though are the very ticky tack DB illegal use of hands or OL hands to the face calls. Sometimes I wonder if they will get rid of the contact side of football altogether.

    It happened to him twice.

    In 2010 vs Oakland

    Again, in 2012, against Giants

With his reputation, officials always watched him with one hand on the flag.

You accused people of whining and crying about the Pats when Ray D started this thread that's what this is about. Brady is the Pats QB that's why he is in this discussion.

I worked in New England as a traveling contractor for 3 years and during that time I have only seen Patriot fans get so defensive when their team or players is attacked. Now I am seeing a Steeler fan get just as defensive trying to protect the Pats from scrutiny????

Also during my pleasurable 3 years of working with Pats fans I notice that they like to side step facts about things like tape burning and favoritism. Pats fans also like to be ignored when the discussion becomes fact laced.

I never really had anything against Pats fans until the morning after the 2004 AFCCG.

It was Monday morning, and I was in line at Starbucks. And the two men behind me were Pats fans and going on and on about the game. And then one said to the other: "...and these stupid Steeler fans. They went and made hotel reservations in Jacksonville. Did you read that? I mean, really. You'd think they'd learn. What a bunch of idiots."

I know it's wrong to paint with a broad stroke. But ever since, I have noticed an arrogance among Pats fans (in sports bars, mostly) that is second to none--really all Boston fans. Let's face it, their teams win a lot. But Bostonians take things to the next level: "WE are better than YOU." There is a sense of civic pride that Bostonians take in their teams that is above other cities' fans. That's what I have observed. Lakers fans are the only other ones I have encountered who are this bad.

Quite the conclusion you jumped to. Why not just come right out and call me a Pats fan? My post has nothing to do with the Pats, nor am I defending the Pats. I don't even see how you came to the conclusion I was defending them. Besides, in case you haven't noticed, I also take issue with posts that call out the refs or Goodell. I'm of the opinion that life isn't fair, so suck it up.

Besides, anyone that pays attention knows I'm a Steeler fan and there's no doubt about it. I've posted pictures of my jersey collection. I've posted pictures of my basement, which is full of Steelers memorabilia (as well as Mario Lemieux stuff). What I don't have is any Pats stuff and I never will.

Talk to me when you use up your vacation leave on Sundays so you can sit at home and watch the Steelers game, like I do. Until then, feel free not to question me.

Even been to San francisco? Those guys are Aholes. I've never meat more aggressive, violent fans in my life. Obviously not all of them, I'm generalizing here to make a point. Even a lot of 9'ers fans I met when I was in San Francisco told me not to go to the game because it gets violent for other teams fans. I watched the Steelers game in a bar, and the 9'ers fans in that bar were all dicks. Screaming at and cursing out other people in the bar. Just ridiculous

Indeed. For a long time, Niner fans had fallen off the face of the earth. They've come back in recent years. But I think they're about to go into irrelevance again: the 49ers are on the verge of collapse, as a team and an organization.

What do expect from a bunch of Progressives? Despite the nostalga of a bunch of peace loving hippies they bring about violence at any means possible to get their point across. Some woman went into labor on the way to the hospital yesterday while they held the highways hostage so they could have their peaceful protests.......and smash a couple store fronts along the way.

Obviously not all of them as you stated but when they think outside the box they usually throw hissy fits while doing so.

But back to the topic at hand though. If Belicheat and Marsha want changes to rules, the league usually listens as intently as them old EF Hutton fans.

Does anyone know what the term "defenselss player" is or mean? I mean how is he defenseless if he is about to, or has, or almost had the ball.

Well let's see if they make a big deal about the bad call against us today - especially in light of how it allowed Atl to score.

    I'm not holding my breath.
