Props to the coaches . Especially Coach Haley

Good post. We call them out for bad games so we should praise them for good ones. Honorable mention to the Bengals O coordinator who called that option play when they were throwing on us at will.

 

I've been critical of Tomlin (and will be again, I'm sure), but he deserves some props as well for the big win today AND assuring that he still does not have a losing season in his tenure as HC of the Steelers. Contrary to popular belief, I am rooting for his success because that means the team is having success. I just want to see more consistency.

 

Funny how the grass is always greener on the other side.

i was lurking over on a Bengals message board where they are complaining how bad their coaches are and how good the Steelers coaches are.

 

They don't get out much!

 

Trust me, no bad how we may think our coaches, Marvin Lewis is always worse.

 

He's still a half game ahead at this point.

 

Yeah. When a team loses just look at the team Facebook comments. Replace the team names and the comments are pretty much all the same. I am as guilty as anyone.

 

Yeah I actually made a thread about this from the Pats fans.

 

I was going to stay away from this one but decided to throw my half a cent in. It was good to see the win but just like a loss from lucky plays... A win because of the bungled screw ups doesn't make me want to <mod edit>shall we say, "Let him off the hook?" yet<mod edit>.. Up until Gay's interception this was anyone's game and could have easily gone the other way. There were still plenty of fundamentally lacking areas. BUT.. I also noticed less penalties, some better tackling and some hustle. I also noticed Ike just standing around on the extra point attempts. Maybe that's because of their trust at some trick plays.

 

I think that's incredibly inappropriate.

 

I'm sure he didn't. Changed it too so fair enough.

 

I think even Tomlin's stauchest supporters would agree on that.

I'm elated about this game because, after wishing for it for EVERY SINGLE GAME in WWW's threads, for the first time this season we FINALLY had NO STUPID PENALTIES!!!

 

I agree this game was a complete effort on almost all 3 sides of the ball and the coaching staff deserves their moment of praise, but until Tomlin and Co gets the issue of constancy resolved I'm still not sold. We have seen this scenario play out before and it failed.

 

Made a few adjustments after halftime and pulled out a big win.

 

Wow. I said what ever at 2:00am, an still have No idea of how I was a bad guy. I will wear my new found shame with confusion....
