is up with this team? I have followed the Steelers for 40+ years and don't remember a team with multiple personality disorder like this one. The 2014 team video should be titled Sybil:

40+ years here too. Nothing like this team ever. Focus on the prize...7 wins give us number 7! Expecting consistency from an inconsistent team. GO STEELERS!!

Great point. Especially this year. The NFL has achieved their precious parity.

Can't believe anyone is shocked by todays game, they have been doing this all year. I called this game in the predict the score thread.

They have a very good chance winning out, definitely to 10-6 anyway.

    Completely.

We're also going to be a bit mroe inconsistent than others because we have some very young guys and some very old guys. Part of the rebuilding process.

    I think it's two things:

    1. Increase in Thursday night games
    2. Limits in practices with pads

Kind of. But that 1989 team didn't lose a single game against a bad opponent--unless you count the *Bears, who fell apart in the last month of the season, after beating the Steelers. That Steeler team made the playoffs because they took care of business, especially in the final three weeks.

I have boldfaced the losses to good teams. And I have underlined the wins against good teams.

Yeah, I guess, although parity isn't really the best word to describe a team that is great one week and absolutely sucks the next.

The predictable 'gashing' of the Falcons by the Packers puts us, once again, in a position to finally beat a team that most of the rest of the league has a field day with, including the week before (or after) they play us. Hopefully we can get that monkey off our backs by beating an objectively poor team (division standings notwithstanding) next week. Then, it's winning teams from that moment on and the SKY'S THE LIMIT!!!!!!
