Geathers has them fired up. Maybe not what we need.

I don't know... none of us know what happened on the practice field, but Foster's comment rubbed me the wrong way. Be frickin tough and stop whining about someone practicing hard. Just another hint at the softness of this team.

Yeah, without hearing more, it's really tough to judge accurately, but maybe a little more toughness is needed right now instead of whining about someone practicing too hard.

LOL! Like his fire but there is a reason he's on his 7th NFL team. What is he, 6'9" or something? Maybe Tomlin is recruiting guys like him and McCullers to play on the Steelers off-season charity basketball team. The guy that ought to be out there getting a shot is Mauro, not some scrub who's played for nearly 25% of all the teams in the league now. But it's not Mauro because we allowed him to be poached by Steelers west because we HELD ONTO FREAKING CAM'T THOMAS WITH A DOGGED DETERMINATION LIKE I'VE NEVER SEEN BEFORE FOR A NO TALENT DL WHOSE CLAIM TO FAME IS THAT HE GETS SUED BY WOMEN FOR GIVING THEM STDs! I get upset every time I think about that wuss of a defensive lineman!

Yeah, agreed. Man up and practice hard back at him if you don't like it.

Unleash hell, Foster! Something tells me DeCastro or Heyward would not be throwing a fit over this.

if you don't practice hard you shouldn't be starting foster. if it were me he'd be cut for those comments. this from the guy that's overweight and was an UDFA. you would think a guy in that position would work even harder. you play like you practice. we are trying to make the playoffs and win a championship. that won't be done with soft players like the sta-puff marshmellow man.:cool:

So because they played 96 snaps last Sunday they don't think they should have to practice hard. Our struggles are starting to make sense to me now. What a bunch of soft, lazy pricks. The way I see it is, if you don't want to end up on the ground, don't allow yourself to be thrown down. Push back, fight back, stand up and be a ****ing man.

    What a cry baby

    Ok.

I don't want to play devil's advocate but...

Reading the article it seems more like Foster was annoyed that Geathers was basically starting fights with people, not that he was playing too hard or anything.

We could read the bit in red as 'playing hard in practice', but it looks to me more like it's the kind of stuff that goes on in training camp when guys are pushing for places, but when it's mid-season you quit ****ing around. That doesn't necessarily mean Foster is saying "don't hit us so hard". More, "stay disciplined".

But that's just an alternative interpretation, mind.

Personally, I agree with Jack - it should be Mauro out there.

Didn't we just praise Mean Joe a couple weeks ago for going all out, even in practice!

    Ramon Foster, Come on Man!!!!!

Also I know around the league Steelers are said to have had a tougher camp. I was there, seemed pretty cake to me. We are missing tackles this year left and right. Lack of practice is dulling this teams edge!

Not sure what really happened but if he was practicing hard then I don't mind it. I rather have a nobody fighting to make the team and has heart than what we have now lol.

Beachum is a good example. He is undersized and outmatched most games, but it's all we have and he tries his butt off. You have to respect that.

Well lets hope this is the team he wakes up on. Remember Debo was on the Steelers/Ravens Steelers/Ravens Steelers. Then he woke up! We all know how that went

All I can do is shake my head. Why do you come out and say that to the media? Just say it got heated out there and that's what you want this late in the season pushing for a playoff spot! Sounds like he was expressing what Ben was on the sidelines last game with his scrunched up faces and general lack of interest in the game....

That just means he wasn't a star in college, or it would have been swept under the rug.

If he's intentionally starting fights the office will dump him... However, if he's out there busting his ass and showing a mean streak because he wants the opportunity and paycheck... Then I don't see a problem at all and hopefully it changes some demeanor around here. Foster and whoever else should leave their vaginas in their lockers before they take the field.

Another thought. If these guys are not going full speed in practice, no wonder they start games in the mud and seem to take a half to get their footing!

I hope he does come in with a mean streak. I hope he pisses everyone else off. I mean, really, what could it hurt? These players come out of the game with injuries like turf-toe. Turf-toe? WTF is that? I played for many years and never once heard of such an animal. The only way we came out of the game is if we had to re-attach a limb and even then it was only for one play. Our coach was soft though, if your head came off you could skip two plays! Oh, how I long for the old days...you know when their facemasks had one bar and they clothes-lined each other!
