Well, as I mentioned above, our offense does suffer from a feast or famine syndrome. However, if our defense was only as bad as our offense, I think we'd be a 9 or 10 win team right now, and making a run at a 1st round bye.

I guess we can agree to disagree. I see the offense as just as culpable for the team's current record, if not more so. They are stacked with unbelievable talent, but they can't score.

No, I'm not saying to throw out our 2 best games, but what I'm saying is that if we score 50 points 2 weeks and only score 15 the next 2 weeks, our total points scored looks good, but in reality it isn't. We can't carry points from our 2 best games to other games. We need to consistently score points.

Depends. If they score around 30 points instead of 50 in those two games, it doesn't skewer it too much, theyd still be ranked pretty high.

Week 1 we lit it up in the 1st half and then couldn't score in the 2nd half against the Browns. Our first meeting against Baltimore we couldn't even crack 10. Against the Jets, Bucs and Jags we couldn't score enough points. We scored plenty against the Saints, but half was in garbage time. Even against the Texans, if they hadn't given us the game in that 3 minute stretch, we probably would have lost due to an inability to score.

Would have been nice if they kept scoring in the Browns game but when you stake your defense with that kind of lead, you'd expect them to hold it. In fact, if the offense didn't put together one last drive to get that fg, defense would have blown that game. Defense gave away the Tampa game too.

It's painfully obvious just by watching this team that we have trouble putting points on the board. That's a huge problem because of the weapons we have on offence. It's hard to improve on having the best RB and WR combo in the league. Most teams would love to have Bell and Brown.

They've score 30 or more points 6 times. They've had a few games where the offense didn't show up, there's room for improvement, no doubt, especially the redzone.

Now of course defence is a big problem too, but my point is that both are equally at fault. We have trouble scoring and we have just as much trouble stopping other teams from scoring

I don't agree they are equally at fault, offensive side is a much better unit at this time. There's injuries galore on the defensive side and the secondary is very weak.

You are right in the fact that there is plenty of blame to go around,although I disagree with the D losing the Tampa game. Offensively we should of blew them out of the water,just like the Ravens did the following week. The rules favoring the offense makes their performance more inexcusable. Plus they don't have the turnover and injuries that we do on D. They are a pretty complete unit that still suffers a bit from protection issues,but the success of our running game should allow us to scheme to help improve even that. It's the inconsistency of the O that is maddening and confusing. The bottom line is though unless both units find a way to put it all together ,we will have plenty of time in 4weeks to discuss it further.

I think it is acknowledged that our defense lacks playmakers and stars, and has had significant injuries, so in a way, their mediocrity can be forgiven. Our offense, on the other hand, has a pro-bowl caliber wide receiver and running back, excellent tight end, and a 2x superbowl winning QB. For them to play and score as poorly as they have on too many occasions is much less excusable than the defensive performance. If our skill level on offense was on par with our skill level on defense, I would be thrilled with our current record.
