While I am scared of this game, I also know that our offense is capable of playing with and demolishing anyone. It's just a matter of whether or not they need to pull out the heavy duty jump start machine to get the engine started or if they'll hit the field running. Seems to be the question every damn game.

If the Bengals and Ravens could win in New Orleans, then we'd better be able to take care of business against them at home if we want to be a legit contender for the division. We have the talent on offense to roll up 35+ on their putrid defense and take the pressure of needing to worry about the run off of our defense. The question is - will we? Make them one dimensional with an explosion of points, and we should be fine. If our offense goes into one of those inexplicable funks, it's going to be a rough day.

If the Steelers play on offense like they are capable of and don't take 2.5 quarters off like they did against Tennessee, then they can put some points up. The thing I am most concerned about are the big plays NO is capable of and the propensity of the Steelers to give them up. The Saints are not that great in the red zone, so if we can avoid the big plays, the Steelers should be in good shape. I saw something this morning that Brees has the best completion percentage in the league for passes over 15 yards. Also as usual turnovers will be big - we need a couple.

Actually I'm not very scared of their run game. Making Brees have to pass spells disaster to me.

If you play fantasy football, you need to start Graham. He could put up 30 points.

The Saints have the league's #8 rushing offense, and average 4.6 YPC. Their passing attack is heavily fueled by play action. While I agree that their passing game is to be feared more than their running game, if the game situation allows them to call plenty of run plays, it will be that much harder on us to stop the pass. That's my point.

I unfortunately agree on Graham. We've had a tendency to put ILBs manned up on TEs, and have gotten fried by that approach. There's no way any of our LBs can even slightly limit Graham. I see him getting 8-10 catches for 100+ yards and at least 1 TD. He's a must start TE in fantasy leagues this Sunday. However, their WRs are not terribly scary, and they lack an explosive pass catching target out of the backfield. Graham could have a big day, and we could still beat them soundly.

Regardless of the their record, the Saints are a good team, no doubt. I doubt many people predicted they would go 0-4 against the AFC North, but that is just what is going to happen if the Steelers can take care of business. It's at home, Steelers need to make home a real home field advantage, like it is for the Pats and Broncos.

I really haven't seen anyone thinking that ike was all that. Maybe because I don't look at any other boards, but I do agree that he is better than whoever we currently have on the field in that spot.

With Tomlin's track record vs. sub par teams, and not knowing what Steeler team he will put on the field, every game is up in the air. Roethlisberger said it's a must win game, I would think every game is a must win game. I still think the 2 losses to Tampa Bay and Jets will come back and bite us. Tomlin is Mr. Inconstant.

Unfortunately, that's been the story of the year for the last several years (early losses that meant having to have other teams lose at the end of the year, which hasn't gone well).

The key position in this game is the play of our safeties. We need to be aggressive on D, but we CANNOT have Mike Mitchell biting on plays, or CBs expecting Troy to be covering the inside when in fact he's 8 yards into the backfield. I expect Brees to try and take the top of the defense early, so the safeties must play disciplined. I'd almost be tempted to start Will Allen over Mitchell for this reason alone.

    Pressure, Pressure, Pressure,...

And leave Troy and Mitchell back, to guard against the deep ball, or short pass, that turns into a long run, if they burn the blitz...

You know, Kinda like "'Traditional" Safeties do?

We need to be in Bree`s face all day, or we don`t have a prayer...

    Even if we do...

    We MIGHT get burned...

I prefer the "Live by the Blitz, die by the Blitz" philosophy, to, tryin to play it safe, against this team...

Play it safe, he will carve us up...
    Bottom line...

Ben, Brown, Bryant, Wheaton, Miller, and Bell, ALL have to have a big day to win this one.

I`d like to see a couple plays to unexpected targets, like Johnson, Spaeth, Archer, or whoever, gadget plays, whatever...

We need to score more than 40, unless we get a few turnovers, and CAPITALIZE on them!!!

Unfortunateley, I don`t count on my D to get those turnovers, wheter Troy`s there, or not...

Even ONE by him, at the right time, could change the game..

Dust off your skills "Old Man"!!!

    GO STEELERS!!!

NO is the best of the subpar teams we have played this year. They have a good offense. Yeah their defense is crap but there are times this year ours looked like crap as well

The longer Brees sits on the bench and the Steeler D is on the sideline, gives the Steelers a better chance to win.

Light rain likely. Cloudy, with a high near 58. South wind around 16 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Not a bad temperature for November but the wind could cause problems for the kickers.
