DEAR COACH...BEN NEEDS TO REST!!!! Pleeeze, use your head!! Batch can take care of business this Sunday. I don't even wanna see Ben standing on the sideline. He needs to stay home and rest. If I see Ben suited up, tossing a ball around, I'm gonna go frickin' nutz!!

    Thank you for your time,
    punk

    P.S. Go STEELERS!! :herewego:

It could be a show making denver think he is more hurt than it is. Hell i played basketball and shot opposite handed in warm ups to throw people thinking i shot terrible. who knows. Ben will be ready and firing.

I actually read that it may just be a show to throw them off. Tomlin said that he was fine and Ben said he wasn't. I'm not sure what I'm feeling at this point. I definitely agree that with Batch and their defense, the Steelers should be able to shut down Denver. This would give Ben the "bye" week that he probably needs. On the other hand, I know what a lift he provides when he does play, so if he's out there, I know that the Steelers will rally around him. My biggest concern is that if we get by Denver (we should - but you never know), things get tougher, and I'm thinking that it would be nice to give Ben a break before the real work of the playoffs begin.

Hope your kidding cause no way we beat Denver without Ben. We might not even beat them with Ben. People need to stop taking the Broncos so lightly. Their defense isn't bad. Miller and Dumervil are going to feast on our tackles. I just hope we can squeak this one out without anymore injuries.

I can hear the haters saying Ben is living up to that drama queen reputation.

WTF is this thread? ??? I'm trying real hard not to question your intelligence punkneater. But in case you haven't noticed, THIS IS THE PLAYOFFS! There is no next week if we lose, so you put your best players on the field not backups. Please tell me this is a joke thread.

ok, no more tongue in cheek...So who is the better player this week? Ben at 60%, Charlie at 100% ? I say Charlie. I made my plee to the coach...I have faith in his final decision.

Ben will play. I guarantee it. If not I'll donate my entire paycheck this week to charity.

Agree completely. You'd never know our team only managed to put up 13 points last week against a Browns team that many here thought we should have beaten by 30 points. No game in the NFL is a given anymore.

If we play Batch we will light a fire under the Denver D and we will lose. If the Steelers announce now that Batch is starting, the Bronco's D will think they are so bad that they think that they will not even need Ben to win. This will motivate them and they will kill us. It would seem very disrespectful to the Broncos. Too late now.

Gentlemen, make no mistake. This will be a nail biter. As Justin Wilson would say, "I'll garentee it".

The Broncos aren't the Rams. I like Batch but he's not someone we want taking hard hits. Ben will be fine.

I agree with playing Ben, but he will be on a short leash. If he is not performing bring in Charlie.

Do you not understand this is a playoff game? This is what it ALL comes down to? One loss and you are DONE. You bring your star QB if he can play. Too many people think we are going to go into Denver and just stomp all over them. They made it to the playoffs even if they just squeezed in and we could barely put away the Browns regardless of the weather. One or two untimely turnovers and you won't feel so confident about us winning. Denver has a strong and fast defense and Batch does not give us a better chance to win than an injured Ben dealing with the pass rush that Denver has.

I agree with the others that said this is the playoffs. You don't sit Ben during the playoffs. However, he most definitely should have sat out during the Browns game! That decision to play him was extremely stupid!

    Funny!

We are most likely not in this positoin if 7 had sat for the Clowns game.

If 16 cant beat the Donkeys with our D than maybe he should not be on the STEELERS roster. I would rather have 7 against the Rats or Patsies.I know we have to get there first but 16 can handle Denver!

No do overs and second chances, make no mistake, everyone will bring their A game. So i say, let BB play and GO STEELERS.

Yes I do!! If 7 is not at least 85% I want a 100% 16 on the field against a 8-8 team that brings a very good pass rush. Lets say 7 plays against the Broncos,we win 20-7 but 7 has another "setback". You happy with 16 against Baltimore or NE?

NEs D doesnt scare me with 16 in there but he most likely will not win a shoot out with Brady.

Win or lose the game against the stains and we're still #5 seed. That game had no bearing whatsoever on the playoff picture. It would only have mattered if the rats and/or patsies lost too. If they were going to sit Ben for a game, that would have been the one because the outcome didn't matter.

You underestimate the donkeys and Batch has been a BU for years for a reason. Our chances of winning drops significantly when Ben is out. Not to mention, Batch might tear a rotator cuff just rolling out of bed or pouring some orange juice. You do know this is the playoffs and you're done if you lose, right? You don't sit franchise QB's for the playoffs who are banged up. Just ask NO what happens when you underestimate a team who backed into the playoffs...
