does anyone think will johnson will get some added carries as the big back since the blount debacal? he is a good receiver and they have dabbled in letting him carry the ball.

You don't need a big back, you need a good back ... and you need a good lead blocker, so probably that is what Johnson will keep doing.

 

Yep, using players on gimmicky plays, in roles they are not best qualified for.

 

willj has been very sparsley used as a lead blocker. i agree you don't need a big back but if you have a good back that is big it can help. johnsons ability as a receiver could be utilized while bell gets a breather now and again. my concern is beating bell up before playoff time if we get there.

i just think johnson always was one of the backup plans if blount or bell got dinged up in the short term. i guess we do have another week to figure it out though.
