If you guys / gals like to drink different kinds of beers, I got something yo might be intersted in - a beer exchange.

Get 24 people together and set some rules that include:
    - Each person must buy one case of beer
    - Must be an import or a microbrew that costs at least $__ (we set it at $40) Eliminate Corona, Heinken, or wahtever beer you don't want included and have everyone sign up for a certain beer so no one will bring any duplicates.

Go to a place (house, work, restaurant, etc.) that will let you spread out the cases and then in an orderly fashion (very important), each person exchanges 1 beer with the othe 23 people. That way you end up with 24 different beers.

We've done it twice and each time I've ended up with at least 15 beers I had never tried. It's awesome to drink a few beers during a game and they are all different. The only drawback is you will usually get 1-2 you don't like.

Give it a shot, especialy when the new seasonal beers come out. For the last one we did, we had to put a limit of no more than 2 pumpkin ales and no more than 2 oktoberfests. It was pretty awesome.

Why no more than 2 Oktoberfests?

I love Marzen style beers. :D

    I love the idea!!!
I will probably modify the rule a bit, to reflect the amount of people, and money spent, but with about 12- 20 ppl, buying a 12 pack, each, and no repeats of beers bought, no "MINIMUM" on the amount spent on the twelve pack..
As long as everyone brings a 12 pack, you will wind up with a variety of 12 beers...If you don`t like a couple of the flavors that have been given to you (assuming you have more than 12 people), you could always "trade off", what you don`t like, for what someone else doesn`t like...
Having a bit of a hard time with the logistics, here...
I get that it is very important to do it in an "orderly fashion", to ensure the mixture of flavors... but how?
Seems to me, In your 24 people, 24 beers scenario, 1 person would keep one of their beers, then pass out the other 23, to the other 23 people, then person "number 2", could do the same, and so on, until all 24 ppl have passed out their beers, equally distributed.
    Sooo...
In my case, with say 15 or 16 ppl with 12 packs...
Maybe I could draw numbers out of a hat, for however many ppl there are, person #1 distributes their beers, thru person #15 or 20 or whatever...
Making sure that whoever is given a beer, can`t have 2 beers in front of them, if there is someone who has none, yet...
On down the line, can`t give 3 to someone if someone else only has 1, etc.
At the end of that, everyone should have a 12 pack of variety beers,
And if someone who likes Dark beers, for instance, has none, and someone who likes Pale beers, has a Dark beer, they could swap...
I guess the easiest solution would be to match the # of ppl to the # of beers, but I don`t wanna exclude ppl...
Or what if you had an odd # of ppl, that they don`t sell a matching number of beers for, say, 9 or 11...
There has to be a way to deal with that...
Gonna think on this, while I eat dinner...
But thanks for the idea, Scott!
