I know Lebeau and the Steelers have a great record against rookie QBs, but is it actually any better than anyone else's record against rookie QBs? Rookie QBs tend to lose a lot anyway, don't they? I am sure someone has a stat for that.

Ben certainly didn't. he did win his first 13 games.

I too am curious about that.

That would be a hard stat to chart because hardly any other defensive coordinators, if any at all, have been with one team for so long. Would be a lot of leg work.

Who knows though, there are stats for everything though, maybe it's already charted.

I would think DL's record is pretty unique though, it's just due to the fact that rookies don't know how to deal with zone blitzing yet, especially DL's particular style of it.

DL also had a lot stouter defenses to work with in the past against these rookies.

Wow. 19 rookie QBs in 10 years. Guess thats due to the Browns having 4 QBs per year.

Surprised the AFC East isnt on the list with the Dolphins QB carousel.

Buccaneers maybe account for the Falcons?

Aside from Ryan Tannehill, the only other rookie QB to start any games for the Dolphins since 2004 was John Beck who started 4 games in 2007.

Actually he won 14 regular season games, but you have to remember usually rookie QBs get drafted by bad teams and Ben was drafted by a playoff contending team, with a solid running back and a 1 ranked defense...

John Beck actually started the game where the field was nothing but a swamp. Ricky Williams was in that game too and wound up getting hurt by Timmons. It was the game where the punt just stuck in the turf like glue.
