This game shouldn't even be close if the Steelers are to take this Jekyll and Hyde team to the next level.

All the momentum is in their favor. They are now tied for first place and can take sole possession of that spot this Sunday. We all watched last year while they made a strong finish to the season and watched it diminish on someone elses foot. Well, The finish to this season starts now and not down the road hoping other teams help us out. I will take the playoffs any way to get in but that is not my preference nor should it be the teams either.

I was very impressed how they beat the Colts and then the Rats. Especially after Baltimore controlled the first qtr. Now is not the time to take the foot off the pedal. It's time to slam it to the floor and drive forward through this league and not let up unitl they are hoisting another Lombardi.

If they play down to the Jets and end up losing due to not taking them seriously nor being prepared then it will make for one long week and probably an even longer season.

I want the Steelers to go in and smash a 1-8 team into oblivion where they completely give up in the 4th quarter.

I want to see at least a 37-10 beat down. Any nail biter and I will be left with more questions than answers!

I have a bad feeling this game will be too close for comfort. I feel more uneasy now than I did at the beginning of the week. There is NO reason the Steelers shouldn't dismantle this team and that is usually when they lay an egg.

Depends on which team shows up. If they look back at the past two and realize "hey that worked..." and continue to mash the gas - then we'll be just fine and should destroy the Jets. Hopefully, MT and crew don't decide it's time to outsmart themselves and plan differently.

They just have to win. They've put up 93 points in 2 games, law of averages says that will not continue no matter who the opponent.

I do expect them to win handily though, but if they don't and it's close, I don't think it is indicative of anything. Bottom line is winning.

And as someone else said, stay healthy :praying:

:this!: This. When the game is all over all that matters is the W in the win column and that we stay injury free.

I don't care if the score is 20-17 or 41-3 as long as the team plays well and executes! It's really about playing good football as opposed to score. Any team can get up for any given game and this is the NFL. Ryan knows the Steelers well and will have his defense prepared, I guarantee you that. We just need to keep the W train rolling down the track!

Not sure why an 1-8 team such as the Jets all of a sudden is to be feared or set on a pedestal. We need not play from our rear viewed mirror..The Steelers are moving forward and getting established for a playoff run.. we have bigger fish to fry! Steelers win convincingly for the ones that need the assurance.

I agree with the just win and stay healthy sentiments. Clunkers are stressful, but if you win them the fact that they are clunkers is soon forgotten. A W is a W.

It would be nice if they would win by 6 points and cover the 5.5 point spread I'm giving the Jets but your right, winning by any score and staying healthy is what it is all about.

I think it's just the fear that we'll play down to opponents, and slip up where we don't need to. The Miami game last season comes to mind. It's natural to be cautious. But we should really be expecting to trounce them.

That was the point made by the mirror, we have come along way from the first half of last season. A much structured and mature team and I don't seen us loosing our current mojo or playing down to the the Jets this sunday!

I agree that it's not really the fear of playing a 1-8 team....it's the horror show that the Steelers traditionally put on playing a lesser opponent. Therefore, this will be an unecessary tight game for the Steelers. I would be surprised if the Steelers blow out the Jets, thankful if the Steelers squeak by the Jets, and just shake my head if the Jets pull it off.

What you gonna do? However, wasn't just Ben, whole team, coaches included, stunk it up. Refs too, with the Brown turnover where he never secured the pass, and the Heyward fumble recovery that wasn't reversed. But basically we stunk it up. Tampa Bay and now Jets. Criminy

It's cracking me up all the people saying he didn't secure that. These type of plays and reactions are what show people's inability to remove bias from their fan hood (I know, not a real word). He caught the ball with 2 hands, switched to his right hand, then made a cut before being stripped. What about that is not being secure? Just because it happened fast doesn't mean it's not a fumble. How about brown performs like the probowler we know he is and just makes the catch and goes down for a yard or two gain.
