How many jump balls do teams throw to score TDs? I don't believe it's many. I don't believe a tall WR's will fix the issues in the red zone. The best way for this team's TD production to improve is if Ben is able to elevate his play and play better on a more consistent basis.

    This.

He's been playing like this since SB45. Nobody's paying any attention. And all he ever says is, "I hold myself to a higher standard. I have to play better."

Apparently, those statements don't get old. And all anybody can latch onto is Tomlin's press conferences. :lolol:

Nobody's paying attention? He's been more consistently criticized than any player or coach on this team throughout his career (aside from Tomlin this year). What's he supposed to do...throw teammates and coaches under the bus? Tomlin's press conferences are terrible which is why they get so much consistent negative attention. Obviously.

I'm not going to argue this until we set the parameters for measuring it. Until then, I will view this as a matter of opinion.

Tomlin generally attempts to maintain partiality so as not to throw other team members under the bus. However, he did begin doing this recently (following the second game against the Browns). As far as his press conferences being terrible... Again, let's set parameters, or just agree to disagree. I generally appreciate the way he handles the press in regards to questions that are meant to stir up unnecessary drama. He usually shuts down a lot of that BS. Obviously.

I'd agree that there's a lot of criticism going on, right now. Especially with the inconsistency in team performance and two years missing the playoffs.

Ben does get plenty of criticism. The team still needs him at QB, right now. I wish I knew whether Haley was trying to force him to play a style he doesn't like, or if he's struggling with Haley's system based on other factors (O-Line, play calling, etc.). We can say for sure that part of his struggles are new, young WRs.

I'm just hoping the team gets it together, soon.

And to think last week some fans were complaining about Moye getting released, he wasn't going to ever crack the 53 man squad after they drafted Bryant and Moye was beat out by JB.

I'm not saying the HC doesn't deserve blame the whole organization does for the mediocrity of the last few years. The players play and coaches coach and the players they're the one's who are dropping passes and missing tackles, that's why they should be the number one reason for the team struggling. When you don't have a franchise LT, a legit #2 WR or a consistent pass rush or a stout NT, and probably the weakest group of CBs in the league that's called lacking talent. You can't make chicken salad out of chicken bleep as the saying goes. I was listening to Cris Carter on ESPN radio talking about the Steelers after the Texans game, the first thing he said was they don't have the talent they used to have on defense they don't scare anybody anymore. The local media that covers the team they go to practice and every game if they say the talent is subpar, I will take their word over fans on a message board.
