I love this paragraph from an article on John Fox:

"Despite the brutal poundings, football is a game of deception. Success comes rarely with the predictable but with the unexpected. Defenses disguise themselves, showing one thing and turning into something different as the quarterback shouts his cadence. Few players are more valuable than a passer who makes everyone think the play is a run before pulling back and throwing deep. The best coaches are often the ones who keep everyone guessing."

    Are you listening, Bruce?

I agree with this....sure would have helped out when we got stuffed by the Browns on the Goaline.

49ers called a great game against us. Harbaugh had some calls that totally faked the steelers out of their pants.

Deception can be pretty deceptive when you think about it. I think that is a comment you have to ponder when you are under the influence of something stronger than chocolate. Honestly, I don't believe you have to be as deceptive as you do to be willing to adapt. This is where I think we are weaker than other teams. Seems to me that we go into a game plan and decide we are going to run that game plan, no matter what the defense is giving us. Of course, I'm not a coach and am not in the locker room at half-time, I am only a casual observer.

Agree we would score more utilizing deception and adaptability. Problem is we don't have the creative minds on our coaching staff to create it or implement it. We might as well draw up plays in the dirt, but turf grass doesn't even allow us to do that, so we're screwed, offensively anyway.

    :FBAI!:
