Someone please explain this quote to me.

This is from the short article on Redman's teammates having confidence in him on the Steelers Website. It is from Heath Miller.

I have highlighted the troubling part. If the backfield is down to just Redman and Clay doesn't that mean he gets extra carries or is Heath saying that he won't and they will just sling the ball around allowing Von Miller and Champ Bailey to either pick Ben off or sack him into oblivion?

 

I don't see the broncos putting up too many points so I think we are gonna be able to lean on the running game a little more in this matchup. Redman should get the bulk of the carries, somewhere in the range of 20-25 touches. I wouldn't stress too much over Miller's comment, we won't abandon the run and redman will get his carries.

 

I think we know what Redman can do by now. Personally, I'll be looking more for what Clay can do with the carries.

Out of interest, if either of them goes down, does anyone know who's next on the depth chart?

 

I think he means if redman can hold onto the ball he will get the carries....if not clay may get them

it doesn't matter who's back there or what play is called i will just be blocking as usual except for maybe once when Ben throws it too high for me and then i have to tackle.God i hope we run the ball so i don't have to block for this wannabe gunslinger. huddle hike handoff.

 

I think the quote means that Heath wants to play quarterback and center both, at the same time!
