Where is Fast Willie Parker?

 

He has not been seen since 2007, when he almost won the rushing title before he got injured.

After '07 and the broken leg he was just Willie Parker.

 

On April 26, 2011, NFL.com reported that the Virginia Destroyers claimed Parker, along with many other free agent NFL players, though Parker has recently made comments about wanting to go back to the Steelers. On August 3, 2011 Parker announced on his Twitter page that he will be going to the Virginia Destroyers of the UFL...

However I cant confirm he ever reported.

 

How do we know it's him for sure?

According to the Destroyers wiki page, they won the UFL Championship this year. But Willie isn't listed on the roster. In fact, he isn't listed under any UFL roster.

 

I think I saw him driving a truck this weekend that had "two men and a truck" on the side...

 

Makes you do a lil thinking anyway? With the two backs we have ( God forbid one gets hurt) Who is next???

 

I have no doubt that the same brilliant minds that declined a 10-yard penalty that would have moved the opponent out of FG range has it all figured out. Probably use Chris K. at RB due to his high IQ.

 

They declined the 10 yard penalty, because that would have meant they would replay 3rd down. With the way the Steelers have defended 3rd and longs.. I would rather them kick the FG, then give them the chance to go for the 1st down or more.

 

Yeah, that sorta showed the ignorance of the announcers when they were questioning it as well. Anyone that has watched this team the past few seasons knows we are notorious for giving up big plays on 3rd-and-long situations.

Still, that's a hind-sight opinion for me. I just wonder if in the heat of the moment whether they just weren't thinking about field position (possibly thought that with the wind conditions a FG might be iffy at best?).

 

That sends a pretty telling message to your defense, ya think?

 

Yes, it says something about the defense. But its still doesnt change the fact that the defense has sucked in 3rd and long and your giving their offense one more opportunity to score more then a FG.

 

Who verifies the person marking the blue check?

 

If the Defense doesn' like it then they need to get the F off the field on 3rd down instead of giving up the big plays.

The people that run Twitter. The person with the acct, in this case Willie Parker, doesnt have any control over it. Most of the verified accts on twitter are celebrities and pro athletes.
