Was anyone else a little mad at the pass that BA choose for him to get his 1000th?

Was hoping he'd go with a quick slant down in the redzone to make #1000 a TD... but then, that wouldn't be BA, would it?

If Hines would have held on to the first pass to him during the game...then his 1000th would have been a better looking pass. But all that matters is he got it...he's had other receptions like this in his career...so its not a huge deal.

    Congrats Hines you deserve it!

Looks like there will only be 8 in the 1000 catch club for a least a few years. Surprising so few HOF with 1000 catches, though many with potential. Is T Owens HOF material? I guess when you consider what he did on the field. Most of the guys have more yards than Hines. Then again, Hines had a superbowl MVP and two rings (third on the way)

You mean the shovel pass for a 3 yard loss? What did you expect from BA?

    :FBAI!:

Hey, it could have been that stupid WR screen that BA can't seem to understand that EVERYBODY had figured out by now!

On another note, Hines has shown this year that he is truly a CLASS ACT! He has not said anything at all about the benching and his diminished role and has continued to mentor the young WRs. He is most certainly part of the reason for the success of Wallace, Brown and Sanders.

Love Hines and would think they could use him a little more out there. Maybe he will be our 3rd RB this week.

Do you think he's now more likely to retire at the end of the season?

I don't think anyone would argue that Antonio Brown has exceeded expectations with his single season all-purpose yardage record and his selection to the Pro-Bowl. Mike Wallace is a Pro Bowler and although he had a better first half than second half, he still had over 1,200 yards receiving for the second year in a row and has scored a few TDs, 8 I think. Sanders has been slowed due to injury but has still contributed and has progressed nicely in his understanding of the offense. So what's your point?

Lol yeah... a bunch of folks in the bar I was at groaned :bs: but I agree with the other poster... it might have been anti-climactic but the end of a journey often is!

I still raised a Makers Mark the the guy :herewego:

I remember when I first saw the guy playing... I seem to recall it took me a couple of games to realize he wasn't a tight-end

Keep plugging away Hines, make every play count in the twilight of
your career. You can still be a valuable player to the Steelers. Remarkable career
for the ultimate overachiever. I have loved your motor since day one. Now go get
them and teach these young guys how playoff football should be played.

Mh point is simple to understand. Are we scoring points with the young money receivers? In the end, Pro Bowls and records mean nothing. Points and winning is everything.

    Congrats!

I was away for New Year's and I forgot my Sirius. What was the play on which he caught #1000?

Technically you have 1000 options to pick from, so pick your fav! The catch that put him at 1000 was a shovel pass up the gut that got stuffed for -2 yards.
