I am not Coach Tomlin's fan, but I do like the way that he goes through these questions.

Especially during the question and answer section of this interview. I like his comments about Troy, I like his level of confidence and so many other things he answers to.

There are some direct answers to questions &/or comments I see here, and its great to hear it from him.

I know time will tell, specifically Sunday afternoon.

As long as he didn't say anything about unleashing hell, I'm cool with it.

    I have a simple question.

After listening to all these press conferences, where he dissects our opponents strengths, player, by player...

Why can we not counter them?

Are our players really that "sub-par"?

He`s obviously fairly intelligent, given all his use of big words...

Why does our team struggle to get the job done, on such a regular basis?

The easy answer is, "It`s the NFL"... EVERY TEAM is good!...

Then, go watch Seattle, or Denver, Or Indy, Or Philly, ... or...

Any other teams that are getting into 30 point shoot outs with other teams...

What do we lack, to work like a well oiled machine?

    Just wondering?

Cuz I`ve been trying to figure it out for a while now.

My best guess would be "discipline"...

I left his corner. I don't want to hear any of his BS sayings. He won with Cowher's team and hasn't been worth a dang since. We could have easily won the packer SB

edit: I just want to see him on the 1st thing smoking out of Pittsburgh come 1 January, 2015 because I now think we'll be 8-8 or worse. Cowher did the same thing letting them play down to lesser teams

Totally agree and mind boggling frustrating. Discipline, attention to detail and I hate to say it but smarts are just a few things that hold us back.

The question is best answered by saying after they break down other teams they don't let it affect what they do. I basically think they check to make sure that it doesn't change what they do just so Tomlin can say that it doesn't, "We gonna do what we do"

In all seriousness if they are going to such lengths is does beg the question why aren't you putting it to good use?

Philly? Have you been watching them? They are lucky to be where they are, amazing ST play is the only reason they have pulled their games out. Also, lets examine your statement a little closer:

"Any other teams that are getting into 30 point shoot outs with other teams..."

Why would we strive for that? Means the defense sucks on those teams, with the exception of Seattle. And you really named the only teams who are a step above the rest (with the exception of Philly), the rest of the league is like us or worse. Actually, the only dominant team on that list is Seattle, the rest are all flawed.

We're racking up yardage, 4th in the league in offense, hopefully they start converting it to points.

Be happy with a win you guys, if you are looking to dominant teams, cut their heads off and drink their blood (stole that from BFT), you're going to be disappointed for a long time. Yes, the NFL wants lots of scoring but it also wants parity and they've achieved it.

You mean the KC that couldn't seem to miss on a draft pick when BC was coaching the team? :hmmm:

I left his corner a couple of years ago when they lost all their preseason games and played horrible. It should of been a sign of what was coming. I hoped that they could fix it, but I just don't see any improvement.. We have deep problems with this team that some people here are blind to.

I don't know that people are blind to it as much as they just understand that they can't in anyway control the direction or decisions this team makes.

I just choose to stand behind them for better or for worse. Seems to rankle some fans if you don't grab the pitchforks and join in.

Myself, Strummer and some others realize they are in the process of putting together a new team, going to be some more bumps along the way.

If everyone wants to give up on them, so be it, I'll be back next week and the week after that and the week after that believing they can make the playoffs until they are mathematically out of it. They have 3 losses, far from over, they are NOT worse then last year when they went on a run. At least there has been some good this year.

Yeah, kool aid, happy pills, whatever, at least I'll still have something to look forward to each week.

Rebuilding for how long?? Its been THREE seasons? Again, I am fine with losing as long as everyone is giving 100% and that is not happening and hasn't happened in a long time. Tomlin says the same crap after every loss and does NOTHING to back up his words. I, for one, will not be watching next week's game live. I will DVR it and watch it later. I am a diehard fan and I expect some effort from my team. Yesterday's effort was in line with most of the games that I have watched the past two seasons.

Which begs the question: Was he merely riding Cowher's jock and without him can't pick talent?

Or is our current coaching staff incapable of developing said talent?
