Who was the DB that did so well in the pre-season and then was unexpectedly cut at the last minute? Was that Madison? If not, I wonder if he's available?

He was released from the Lions practice squad in mid Oct or Nov.Do not thing anybody has picked him up.But if we are signing Madison do we need another DB? I say go RB if Moore still cant go.

 

spann has been here a little over two weeks now. he was a good rb at NIU. i'm sure he has picked up a little of the playbook by now. i wonder if they will activate him?

cromartie-smith was a cb in college. he could be used in that role if need be. or we just put an extra safety on the field.

 

We have 3 healthy CB- Ike/Gay/McFadden and if they do in fact bring in Madison as reported that would make 4. He's a vet who knows our system. Its playoff time and we can't bring in people who are anywhere near rookie status or doesn't have a solid grasp of our entire defensive system. We have 4 safeties so we should be fine up till we meet NE.

Yup.

We can get by against Denver with zero DB's (ok, I'm being sarcastic). Baltimore will prove to be more of a challenge; maybe put Ike on Torrey Smith and Gay on Boldin? NE may not be that bad as they mainly focus on Welker and their TE's. Will be interesting to watch. Hopefully we can get some pressure on the QB's and our offense steps things up a notch or two.

 

we have 5 safeties. troy,allen,clark,mundy,cromartie-smith. this actually may bode well against denver.

 

check that, we have 4 now for denver. clark not playing says MT.

 

Not a big fan of Madison....I thought we would sign a RB to be honest.
