HAHAH just kidding fella's! I just gotta say that, I love coming here everyday and reading all the posts before and after games as well as throughout the week. I don't post too much on here, but I love the banter and the conversations.

That being said, I have read a few posts after yesterday such as the Steelers being one and done in the playoffs because we beat the browns 13-9 instead of 100-9 or something. And people are worried about Tomlin and Arians and everything, which I can understand some of the points being made about both coaches. But hey guys, we are in the dance! We went 12-4 this season. Last year the sky was falling too when Ben was suspended and everything else. We are a resilient team....We have had a make shift O-line all season, we have had many injuries too key players, and we have also even dealt with suspensions. But we still went 12-4. We are still playing in January, and we are sort of in the position we do best in! We are the underdog... Yes we have to play 1 extra game this season, and yea we are banged up a little, but we are the Pittsburgh Steelers, one person goes down and we plug the next guy in, we do this better than any one in the league!!! Let's face it, we will never be the team to really blow other teams out of the water, we have on occasion but thats not our identity. But we are also not a team that will get blown out either. Yes week 1 we got out butts kicked I agree....But everyone has a bad game or two, it happens. I complain about this team as much as the next steeler fan, but hey its what we do, we are fans, thats whats supposed to happen, and hell all steeler fans love when we win but we are never fully happy LOL....But I guess Im just saying, all the records are back to 0-0. It's a new season, and I know our guys will show up to play! Its playoff time, it's Ben's time, and we are going to be those road warriors of the 2005 season! Just this time it starts in Denver instead of ending there! And I pray we see the Ravens in the playoffs this year!!!

    LETS GO STEELERS!!!!!

Agreed. I think a lot of folks want to keep their expectations as low as possible, as to not be devastated if the Steelers lose. That's why they wallow in a perpetual state of negativity. Doesn't mean they aren't fans though, some of the best and most loyal fans are in this category. To me, if you can go into the stadium of a division rival on a blustery day with wind gusts of up to 40 mph, with a one legged QB, and lose your starting RB in the 1st quarter and STILL get the victory, it's something to be proud of. This team may not win the SB this year, but they have a real chance to do some damage in the playoffs, and I'm not going to count them out. 12-4 is an awesome year in my book. Sometimes you should just enjoy the ride instead of focusing on the negatives. Just my $.02.

I hope they do play better but it seems that this team lacks the killer instinct on both sides of the ball. Denver may be tougher than people think given the Steelers tend to play down to the competition, which leads me to not feel really great about a matchup with either NE or Bal.

BTW I'm new to the board and happy to be here, GO STEELERS! :towel:
