What is Your Belief in Why there hasn't been a pick returned for a touchdown since 1974?

    Glen Edwards in 1974 was the last time we had a pick returned for a touchdown. So even with such a dominate D, and players like Woodson, why do you believe that to happen?

    Troy picked off Carson Palmer for 6. Harrison in the SB. I'm certain there were others.

    I think somebody made the comment in a thread yesterday not sure which one that McCain's pick six was the 1st since 1974, Which isn't true at all, we have had many pick 6's since then. I thin it was a sarcastic comment that has been taken way to seriously as fact.

    Troy had a pick 6 of Bert Flaccid in the 2008 AFCC game. Didn't Cortez Allen have one in the game against GB last year?

    At least, I can remember this players having an INT returned for a TD since late 90s in regular season:

    Dewayne Washington, Chad Scott, Carnell Lake, Daren Perry, Rod Woodson, Joey Porter, Deshea Townsend, Ike Taylor, Troy Polamalu, Bryant McFadden, Tyrone Carter, Lamarr Woodley, Brett Kiesel, Cortez Allen, William Gay...

    And, for sure, I'm missing a bunch.

    Yes, week 16 from last season.

    Actually, we only had 5 consecutive games without a defensive TD (Week 17 / 2013, Weeks 1-4 / 2014).
