Cam Heyward Fined $22,050

I really hope that this is the direct quote from the league.

 

They should have fined the ref for missing that call as well as the one that blew AB's catch that they needed to review. I can't stand the refs! They blow calls and oh well. Yes they gave Brown the catch but it should have been ruled a catch t start with.

Pretty sure the refs are graded every game, and that carries over to whether they're used in post-/next season.

It's frustrating when no-calls occur, but to be honest I think the refs have too much to think about when making calls anyway, without the pressure of fines. I'd rather see every play outcome become challengeable, so coaches can challenge missed calls...

 

What got me was late in the game they must have realized the calls were lopsided and called some garbage ones on Tampa to make it look even.....NHL anyone?

Lets see Cam gets fined 22K for telling the refs they missed a call and I think it was Upshaw who got fined only $6000 for taking Ben down with the crown of his helmet, something is amiss here with the NFL front office.

Player Safety at the forefront....no fine for the H2H on Brown from the Ravens game......

 

But yelling at an official doesn't show a disregard for player safety. But it is another moment of proving that Tomlin is lackadaisical with his discipline of players. What makes a player believe its okay to disrespect an official? The fact that no respect is being shown on the sidelines.

There is a clear chain of command that isn't being followed.

 

You did watch the play right? It wasn't as if he attacked the official. It was an immediate reaction to the play that just happened in front of him. Football is an emotional game and he exploded. Still when you think a league that has said player safety is at the front, a no fine on a H2H that takes a guy out versus a guy yelling "You got to F-in call that!" right after a blatant penalty getting a $22k fine is unacceptable.

I guess Cowher was as well since he did shove a replay print out down an officials shirt.....
