The Bucs don't even have an offensive coordinator right now. The quarterback coach is calling the plays. I heard Colin Cowherd talking this week about what a mismatch this was going to be since TB had an inexperienced QB coach going against the great and powerful Dick LeBeau.

I'm sorry. I wish LeBeau had retired after our last Super Bowl so he could have gone out with honor. I know this is sacrilege to some, but DL has, quite candidly, hung on for about 4 years too long. His schemes have been deciphered by the rest of the league and it's just not working anymore.

Mike Tomlin can no longer say "because he's Dick LeBeau" when questioned about his defense's ineffectiveness and whether or not he's concerned. Tomlin's butt is on the hotseat too if he really feels that way. Tomlin apparently built his reputation as a defensive coordinator. Maybe it's time for him to assert some control over this defense!

You're not the only one feeling this.

We'll at least you can't blame Ike. I don't believe in this era with the current Collective bargaining agreement and the climate of players overall (folks want to get paid) that we can afford to draft potential players who need 2 to 3 years just to LEARN DL's system. A team needs impact players in year one and certainly by year 2. We rode what was a very good defense and it's players for too long.
I would really like to see what a new D-Coordinator can do even though I realize that it would take 2 years plus to see a different implementation and success with a new scheme.

When your 6'4" WRs are being covered by 5'8" scrapheap CBs, it isn't hard to game plan

I've been singing this for years now. Just like the 46 defense can't be used on a every down play anymore. Our zone blitz scheme is done. Until we get a true NT and two pass rushing outside linebackers and one decent cornerback we need to scrap this defensive scheme.

That's what a good coach does, designs the scheme to match the talent. DL refuses to even consider this for some reason.

We would've been better facing off against McCown than Glennon.

What I also forgot to mention is the Bucs offense couldn't even get a play off in the required time three times in row. Unbelievable.

The outcome would have been the same.
