There's a lot of debate about who deserves to get benched.

So, let's see which players seem to make a consensus about it.

ALLOWS MULTIPLE CHOICE so pick as many as you want

About Justin Brown and DWB: fight is for the 4th spot, assuming Lance Moore is #3 when healthy.

**I know there are a lot more combinations, candidates to be substituted and substitutes, but this poll unfortunately only accepts 10 options.

An option I would say is that I would substitute JB for Lance Moore. That will happen when he gets better but I think Moore is a better option than both of them. DHB had a penalty last night. JB had a fumble last night and a penalty in week one for a push off. We need to end the penalties and I mean now. We've got 20 in TWO GAMES!!! I don't care if you've got Montana, Rice, Barry Sanders, with Bill Walsh calling the plays. When you give up that many yards and average 10 penalties a game you are going to lose.

Good observation. I'm editing first post right now. This poll assumes that Lance Moore will be #3, and what we're talking about is #4.

I really think you have to get Shamarko and Spence involved. The quicker the better.

This is the one I would do, and maybe Gilbert. The other on the list I don't see the sub improving thing. Let the coaches decide.

    I didn't vote, because I'd vote none, it's been 2 games.

I think people are being very hard on J. Brown, he has played well for seeing live game action for only the second time in his career. Lets lower expectations back down to reality.

Gilberts not getting benched yet, Munchaks is a great line coach but again, lets get expectations back to reality, he's going to get at least half a season to fine tune what Munch is teaching him. He responded well in camp, they obviously saw something to offer him an extension.

If I had to choose an option, it would be Mitchell but 2 games is a little quick to be scrapping the plan.

I wondered about this the other night, BF. If Gilbert went against Cam Thomas in camp every day no wonder they extended him. Thomas is garbage.

Does anyone know the guaranteed money that Thomas and Mitchell were promised? I'm just asking this because if they DO turn out to not be what we hoped and we do have to cut ties with them how much is that gonna hurt us from a cap perspective? We are still paying for Woodley right? I'm just curious if we really tied ourselves to them? Especially Mitchell since he got a pretty sizable deal. Also what about Moats? Where has he even been? Did I miss an injury to him or something? I don't think I've heard his name called all year.

    Gilbert, embarrassing.

J Brown, and I still haven't seen anything from him good. I would be looking for DHB real soon.

The rest are fine or the best we can do.

I voted for Gilbert and Ike.
In all fairness to Gilbert though he was going against Dumervill who will most likely make another pro bowl this year as well possibly 4+ more in his career. Problem is Adams would have faired much worse. In this case, Id bench just to gain his attention. Just wish that particular position wouldn't shorten Bens career the way it probably will.

Ike I'd bench just cause I know what you are going to get. Very good coverage most of the game sprinkled in with total blown coverage druing a play here or there leading to probable scores followed up by concrete hands. I want a ball hawk at that position for about 5 years now.

I've also been dying for a ball hawk as well. I can't say I would bench Ike because I'm not sure that Gay would fare well against a number one but just from an overall standpoint I would love a corner that could play tight man and catch the football when it should be an easy task. I realize that most corners are known as "wide receivers that can't catch" but Ike drops everything thrown his way. I wonder if he even works on catching or just feels it's more his responsibility to cover and break up plays than to be good at catching the ball?

Man I hope that doesn't come back to bite us. I mean the way Mitchell has looked so far we might as well have kept Clark. I just hope he gets it together. If he learns to play well with Troy the way Clark did it will help our secondary tremendously. Also if he doesn't get flagged for blinking in the general direction of the receiver it will help as well.

I think he will be a player for us, my biggest concern about him is he is a hot head but we knew that about him.

Aye, Thomas would be an easy cap cut. Mitchell will be around for a while unless something unforeseeable happens.

I wouldn't make any changes right now. It's still too early. But I would be looking at Gilbert and Cam Thomas very closely the next game.

Agreed that it is premature, but I think J. Brown is no more than a 4th string WR. He isn't showing what he actually brings to the WR position in live action games, outside of fumbling.

I know its comparing apples to oranges, but at least Wheaton, who was from the same draft class, has shown what he can bring. And before someone says that Wheaton was a 3rd round pick and Brown was a 6th, A. Brown was a 6th and Wallace and Sanders were 3s, and A. Brown is better than them both combined.

In retrospect I wish we would have just kept Nate Washington. He went on to play pretty good for the Titans. I'm not saying he is one of the all time greats or anything but he probably will overall be better than JB.

Yeah and that's ALL we need are some more penalties! We used to be able to overcome those when our d was a lot better but now we need to show a lot more personal poise because one little mistake can be the difference between a win and a loss with this unit.
