Will they go to JB in the slot or move Wheaton to the slot and put DHB outside ?

Who would you guys prefer ? I think if they go with Justin Brown in the slot will be a mistake.

I think JB will be in the slot with Wheaton on the outside.

I also read that J. Brown would take his place.

Could be JBs time to shine. He has been running with the first team in the slot but I would think DHB is going to get some snaps there also

I think I said in a different thread a while back, but... it's funny how Haley was saying before preseason how deep this corps of receivers are. After preseason, I'm not so confident... but keep telling myself that it's only preseason.

I'd like to see what DHB can do in the no.2 position, but think Brown will get the nod in the slot, initially at least.

I saw a headline on the Steelers Gameday app that said JB was getting a shot this weekend. So that's probably what they were talking about.

I hope JB shows better than he did in the preseason, because he's been invisible.

I think Heath will catch more passes!!!
On a serious note, do we really have a "slot" reciever besides Moore?
Not sure exactly what the position entails, in x`s and o`s, but, I am assuming they have to block well, and catch passes over the middle...
Really doesn`t sound like ANY of our recievers, besides the Tight Ends, and POSSIBLY Wheaton...
Maybe put Wheaton inside, and see if DHB can use his speed outside?
Or use less 3 reciever sets?
    Hard to do that, tho...
We can ground and pound plenty, from a 2rb set, but I don`t really wanna run many 4wr sets...
So... Somebody has to be the "slot"...
Maybe a bunch of 4wr sets is the answer...
    Doesn`t feel right tho...
Think like Haley... Whatchyou gonna do?

I don't think they will bring Moye up if JB doesn't play well. They will probably run DHB more often instead. If we see Moye playing a lot of snaps this year, I think we might be in trouble...

I think JB was officially listed as a BU to that position. If he doesn't get it done, and I've seen him do nothing to tell me one way or the other, then DHB will get a shot and that's fine with me. They both Bomb, Moye you're up. We do have options.

I didn't hold much hope for DHB but after preseason I don't know, he looked better than I thought he would.

IMO, I think JB will probably get the first series or 2 in order to show he is up to the task, but if it isn't working I think DHB will come in at the outside and Wheaton will slide inside. That being said, I am not opposed to putting Brown on the inside at times either.

Personally, based on what I've seen on the field in preseason, DHB would be my #2. I love his blocking in both the run game and in front of WR screens. I have seen nothing in Wheaton other than running a few good corner routes. I've seen even less in JB. However, we don't get to see practices, so who knows?

Even though he is a rookie, I wouldn't be surprised to see Archer get a lot of reps at the slot position. He can catch and neither safeties nor linebackers can stay with him.

as far as I am concerned wheaton looked better than moore in the preseason. moore didn't show a lot during that time. whether that was planned that way or not. I agree about DHB, and I'm not sure he dropped a ball while in the game that I saw.

I hope Heyward Bey gets some plays. He earned it and I hope he does not get buried on the sideline like Cotchery did his first year.

Wheaton and him have earned some reps, and they should get them until they play bad. Moore should not get reps by default.

In all fairness, Cotchery had Wallace, Ward, Brown and Sanders ahead of him. He wasn't buried , just not as good as those guys!
