I agree that predictions are meaningless as well. However, it appears that Hines takes them VERY seriously since he has mentioned predictions a couple of times tonight. That's why I was trying to get what his prediction is.

If I make em I seriously doubt I would remember what I stated hehe..

Judging by what I have seen tonight I think we think some altercations in the locker room to straighten some crap out and have everyone understand there is leadership. Peezy has to be really happy what he saw tonight. I would imagine he is going ape shiat over what we all saw tonight

I think Blount replaced their gatorade with bong water tonight.

Most of us would agree with that sentiment...except that we did last season and then...well. We all know what happened there.

I would love to know if Joey is gonna bring the fire as a coach like he did as a player. Some passionate players probably have to water it down a little as a coach and be "professional" and all that.

Oh, I can answer that for him. They could go 8-8 or 10-6 but can just as easily be 6-10.

    Think that covers it.

Yeah and that is some incredibly astute analysis. Imagine a meteorologist that says "well it COULD rain but then again it MIGHT not rain but if it DOES rain then you won't be able to say I said it WOULDN'T rain. Now let's toss it back over to you guys for the sports report!" LOL!

Welp, I'll go ahead and say it now. This team will go 9-6 and that's IF we are good enough to beat the Brownies twice. I really don't need to see the last preseason game, I've seen enough already and it seems to be the same thing like the last two years. Soft defense and a hit or miss offense. It wouldn't surprise me to see the boys lose to the Browns in the opener.

Wow Slick.. Everytime I think you have gone to the extreme in your negativity you seem to get lower. Cheer up man.. Yeah we looked unprepared as heck but lets keep it positive ..

True dat BFT.. I am hopeful he has not lost his flare for the game and intensity. I saw him chest bump shazier on the interception against Buffalo and he had to walk about 15 yards onto to the field. He is excited and from I have read about the defense they say he brings that kind of intensity as a coach

So do you think we are going to forfeit a game or tie in one?

I see what you did there lol.. I was never good at math so I never picked up on that lol

With as much as I know about Slickster and his negativity and predictions I think he was going to write the PR person for the Steelers org and tell them just to mail one in lol

I was hoping no one would catch that! I screwed up so I'll try and play it off by saying 9-6-1(Tie).

As one of the resident grumps on this board, I'm glad I had to work tonight and missed the game. I've said it forever. I can live with a loss (especially in "LOL" pre-season). But I cannot abide a lack of preparation or effort. Judging by social media and radio, that's what tonight was.

I could even brush that aside if it wasn't for the same lackadaisical pre-season we had last year and how it carried over far too long into the season.

Eh... I didn't see it. So I'll make the conscious decision to just chalk it up to a perfect storm:

    Pre-season
    Young team
    Off field distractions
    Short week
Playing against a team that actually cared.

TL;DR Much ado about nothing most likely. But if this continues into the season, prepare for fire and brimstone. ;)

Well Ray I think your analysis of the game is fairly accurate from what I watched and witnessed. It was that bad. That last drive when Ben was in ( 3rd quarter) they were finally able to put 7 on the board.

Should not take 3 quarters with your first team offense to show up but hell yes thats what it was..

Game ball goes to Troy for the interception, and maybe to the bud bros as they did move the ball somewhat.. Or maybe it was DHB on the touchdown in the 4th.

It was horrible all the way around.. You could not look more confused on defense unless you were the Browns lol

I don't understand you guys at all. Why would this be a joke? Did you guys watch the game? We were HORRIBLE in every single aspect. It was embarrassing to say the least. How anyone can just sweep that game under the rug like it didn't even happen, is beyond me. Its not like we are this outstanding team and, just this once, we came out uninspired and unprepared. This happens ALL of the time- preseason, beginning of the season, mid season, ...it doesn't matter. This game is not a one time wonder. We have a TON of work to do.

Isn't that what most meteorologists actually do?
