Movie about Webster coming soon.

I cant get the link to load but its called Brain Game. Its about the life of Webster after football. Will Smith is playing tye doctor in it.

Thank you very very much for the link to this article Cory. I had some inkling of the particulars surrounding the last few years of Mike Websters life and some small notion of my own about the huge monster that the NFL and NFLPA had become but nothing prepares you for reading that article. I hope everyone that posts on this board reads it and understands it. I will turn 40 in a month and I am not afraid to say that the article brought tears to my eyes not just about the plight of Webster but about the doctor that discovered CTE and the dragging through the mud that the NFL tried on him. It is beyond belief and horrifying to read. I already had unfavorable opinions about the League and the PA when I learned how they were screwing former HOF players as well as just ordinary players out of royalties from EA Sports Madden Franchise but this takes it to a new level and for me the Shield is tarnished far beyond what some player does in the public eye. Sorry if I am coming off as preachy but how anyone can not be moved by that article is just surreal to me.

yeah, that article is insane. and then we have Goodell standing in front of the cameras acting all high and mighty while the NFL/owners have always been doing their damnedest to cover up the issues that come with playing football. Trying to find a balance where the players don't kill themselves too quickly while still preserving the essence of the game

 

Does it make me a bad fan that, when I saw the title of the thread, all I could think of was Alex Karas and a little kid?

 

Nah but it does make you old but since I got the reference I'm in the same boat.

 

Wow! That is complete b.s. And the word terrible don't even begin to cover it. Cover ups... We really have gone down the drain as people in highly appointed positions.
