I keep hearing about all these guys that can cover the slot. blake, gay, McCain, golden and Thomas. ike can cover the one in past years, but the talk this year was him switching to the other teams number two and allen covering the other teams #1. OK that's fine. what happens if cortez as he has every other year gets hurt? do we rely on Richardson then more than we would have?

gay and ike would most likely be the tandum, but what about Richardson or blake or do we keep McCain around? are these guys capable of playing a #2 role or will the bigger rookie get the call? speed wise I think we will be fine with any of them. blake, McCain, Thomas all have sub 4.40 speed and a couple have sub 4.35 speed. size though becomes an issue. I guess it could depend on what point in the season for the rook. there is also smith and green. do they have a shot then?

Time will tell with the secondary. Hopefully the front 7 are stout enough to help them boys cover the routes.

I think they will be solid as long as we get pressure.

I haven't heard that Allen was going to cover the #1 as a rule. Just that they were going to keep them both on their respective sides and let them cover whoever is lined up across from them.

Towards Tue end of the season last year he started shadowing the other teams number 1.

Not doubting you, but I didn't think it was more than Ike not covering the #1 all over. I didn't realize he was matching up #1 because they were specifically taking about playing sides the second half.

Going to have to rely on the guys who watch tape/game film to verify who was lined up on who. Anyone got the numbers?
