He has all the measurables and is obviously not afraid to put the work in. I thought he played good enough to make the team last year.

Been following him a bit as well Blast. Like I said before, i really think he makes the roster this year. DHB and Moye seem like the odd ones out to me.

Yeah, the way I remember it, Brown and Moye were more or less neck and neck, but you had to give it to Moye for his height.

If he keeps it up, you have to put him ahead of the others. He's got way more potential than DHB, whose ceiling we've already seen. That said, I love what DHB could bring as depth, blocking, and special teams. I kinda hope we have room for both. Doubtful though.

At this point, I don't see Moye making it at all.

I like JB, but I have a hard time believing he's gone from PS to being better than DHB in one season. DHB just can't catch. that's been his trouble. JB better have a lot going for him, because moye played well last year when used and has a lot of determination and hustle to his game, not to mention bigger and faster. who knows maybe DHB does get cut and we end up with JB and moye as 5-6. do we take away deep speed for hgt.? DHB is not small. they all block well. catching the football on a consistant basis seems like the only downfall. DHB has played in the league and so has moye, Justin hasn't yet, so we don't know. he's looked good in shorts is all we really know.

That's basically how i see it as well. I thought it would come down to ST play between DHB and JB, but just from the reports coming out that i've seen lately I get a feeling JB is turning some heads but I haven't really heard much about DHB or Moye so far. It would be nice to be able to run with 6 though. :)

That's not a good thing though when catching the ball is your main job, lol ;)

The way I look at is if the Steelers had any faith in Moye they wouldnt have brought in Moore, DHB, and Bryant. AMoye had one td grab on a perfectly thrown ball and had some drops. Moye and Brown werw neck and neck amd IMO Brown was coming on a little stronger down the stretch in the preseason.

Moyes out, IMO. He doesn't play ST so DHB edges him there and have seen reports that they are working JB into ST, which tells me they think he has a higher ceiling then Moye. Of course, maybe Moye is working on ST too but no one has reported it because JB is the flavor of the week but I just think JB has more potential then Moye.

that's the point. that's why he's vying for a spot against moye and JB. he's by far the more seasoned of the group not to mention the fastest big wr we have. can he catch half of them deep? 16 games, twice a game, that's still 16 TD's. LOL ben likes that big throw deep. do they want to throw to 5-7 or 6-2 behind the defense? what do we do if AB goes down, heaven forbid? who's going to the 1 spot if DHB is gone? moore, wheaton, JB as our starters? archer? Bryant? I think they keep him around.

He is continuing to shine with 1s. Today in 7-9 he had a long catch from Ben amd a td grab. We could he really deep at WR.

How awesome would that be if they found another 6th rd gem? Has a lot to prove still, see how he does once the pads are on.

I find myself taking a pull of JB more and more each day.

Wait, this isn't the booze thread... :guiness::no:

I'm looking forward to see what he can do with his opportunity. A glut of WR's is a good problem to have.

During all the draft talk and mock drafts I kept saying WR was not that high of a priority. No-way a 1st or 2nd rd should be used. My reasoning was due to J. Brown. I said then I fully expect Brown to have a breakout season. I based that on his pre-season tape last yr.

All these results seem to validate my prediction, though it is still pre-mature to anoint him the next great WR it is encouraging to see him grabbing the bull by the horns.
