Steelers GM Kevin Colbert on trading up in the draft.

    He told the media the team won't trade up, because they don't have a 3rd that they can trade this year per Mark Kaboly. Damn, I guess that means we won't have a shot at Mike Evans or Justin Gilbert. They can always trade down though we could use a extra 2nd or 3rd.

    Fairly expected. We'd have to move our 2nd in order to do it, and we just have too many holes to afford that.

    So who are the 19 targets that Kevin Colbert would take at #15? Here's a possible list in no particular order

    1. Jadeveon Clowney
    2. Khalil Mack
    3. Greg Robinson
    4. Jake Matthews
    5. Sammy Watkins
    6. Mike Evans
    7. Taylor Lewan
    8. Anthony Barr
    9. CJ Mosley
    10. Zack Martin
    11. Justin Gilbert
    12. Darqueze Dennard
    13. Marqise Lee
    14. Odell Backham Jr
    15. Aaron Donald
    16. Ryan Shazier
    17. Louis Nix
    18. Kyle Fuller
    19. Eric Ebron

    Is it possible, if we stay at #15, that someone not on this list will actually be the choice? I could have easily put Clinton-Dix or Pryor in here but I think we would be foolish to take a S in Round 1.

    I think you mean Martin there. Lee is a little bit of a question mark in terms of how the team has him ranked. I could easily see him not being in that 19. I think safety is in there. If we're going to include Donald, then we should also probably include Pryor.

    Not sure why I had an Ottawa Senators player on my mind. It's no Ben Coleman though. :lolol:

    It would be interesting to know where Colbert has Donald ranked.

    I would remove the top 5, any OL or NT, and also I don't think any of the WR's are worth a 1st, cept Watkins and Evans. I would not count out Gilbert being there at #15. Just my thoughts.

    The list SCNB provided was just of who they would take. Not who they expect to take at 15.
    Kinda like the year we took Decastro. He was on the list but was expected to go at least 5 picks higher if not more. Same with J. Jones last year. He was expected to be a top 5 guy at one point and at least a top 10 guy the day of the draft.
