Is it that bad there? I've only ever been to Gilette Stadium, but they have you cleared in no more than 5 minutes.

If you go in the Gate A (main) entrance it's very time consuming in my experiences. I'd also say for the first game, they should go in the main entrance to feel the energy, hit the hall of fame walk, etc. You might be able to save time at Gate B, but it's just not the same feeling walking in.

Also be aware of all the security restrictions, the check is quick and simple, but the time consuming part is all the female types that don't read the rules ahead of time regarding bags & purses, etc.

I've been to 4 games and come in through the main entrance 3 out of the 4 times and never had a problem. Just a few minutes to get through. But I'm always there fairly early, so that may be a factor.

    Welcome JayJay.

The length of time is a function of two things: 1) How early you go in. 2) Weather.
Go in an hour early on opening day when people are wearing shorts and T shirts , and you can walk right in. Show up 15 minutes before kickoff on a freezing day when people have ten layers of clothing on and blankets , and you will miss the first quarter.

I fly out for games once or twice per year from the West Coast and have never had too much difficulty getting in as long as you arrive near when the doors open (and why wouldn't you if you were from out of town?)

JayJay, I sent you a PM, I may be able to help you out with tickets depending on which game you want to go to. Just let me know. Welcome to Steeler Nation!

Hey Everyone. I'm the lucky dude that JayJay is asking for. Thanks for all your advice. I've been a Steelers fan since 1995 and I have never even come close to the Steel City. I am coming to town on September 7th for the season opener. If you can find the Canadian flag pre-game in the parking lot you'll get a cold beer in your fist. Thanks again.

So much for the surprise! Welcome aboard, both of you.

Went my first time a few seasons ago, fantastic time. Sat in section 210, around 50 yard line, thought they were awesome seats. As others said, Coca Cola Great Hall is a must. I had no trouble getting into the stadium, no wait to get in but I guess a lot of that has to do with how early you arrive. Don't know if you are planning on tailgating (you should though), trying to recall where I was, unfortunately lost my pics of the day, phone broke, lost them all, if you take pics, don't wait to down load them! If it comes to me, I'll let you know what lot I was in but I'm sure they are all a good time.

    Enjoy the board :steelflag:

Surprise wasn't ruined. My birthday was a few days ago. She made up some fake tickets that were pretty convincing. I will be tailgating (very hard). She got tix through stubhub in the club seats section Q I think.

Great seats. I sit in 232. You will love them. Just a note, you will need to show your ticket 3 times to get into the club section. So don't put it away until you are all the way in. You will also need it to come and go.

Going to my first game this season, will be at the season opener against the Vikings. I'm really torn about sitting close in the 100 section or opting for the club level, any input is appreciated!

Club Level is super awesome. If you've never been to a game I'd tell you to get there early and enter Heinz by our tunnel and walk straight down there and I pretty much guarantee you will get some autographs during warm ups.

It wont matter.. You will be there and the excitment will overwhelm you. My first game was a trip from Toronto to Three Rivers Stadium and I was up in the 500s but I did nto even care

They are pricy, but I love Club level. Sometimes in the 100's you have to stand a lot.

My initial advice is leave his buddy at home and you go with him. Obviously he will be looking around wondering why you're still up in Canada when you should be there taking it all in with him.

At last that's what I would be thinking.:icon e confused:
